  • Is the car infront the pace car you have to follow? Im thinking of doing this in Daytona

  • i think he shifted from 1st to 4th

  • @jwelter actually i thought they were 5 gears, i put it in neutral so I would know where I was at so i can go back to 4th

  • @dman0312 I did it this year in Canada it was big rush and you are right the shifting is very sloppy hard to tell were you are

  • I'm so excited I won a drive at Texas Motor Speedway June 25 2011. This is an awsome vid cannot wait for my turn.

  • For the love of racing learn to shift gears!

  • @theyoozernaim its not everyday i drive a Nascar, and yes theres only 4 gears, now i know

  • I did 170mph at Rockingham motor speedway in the UK on the quad oval as a passenger in an ASCAR (european nascar series now defunct). It was awesome. You could feel the car sliding iinto turn one and four, it kinda drifts side ways.

I then drove round in a single seater for half an hour, following a pass car. I kept within two car lenths you could feel the wind off the wall between two and three buffeing the car.

Love the cheering, thats what its all about....

  • Looks like you stayed in second the whole time.... But I'm sure you didn't do 140 in second gear.

  • @Donny2064 i tried going to 5th gear but forgot there only 4, i went back neutral so i would know where i was at, it was fun

  • Shift into 3rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it suck's tht they limit you, but i bet it would be fun thoe

  • @kaseykiller I will admit, if you were going faster, it would be because you're loose and everything, you can't appreciate how good the drivers are, but if you did get up to those very high speeds, you would NEVER hold on to it

  • Id love a go round an oval, but these deals seem such a rip off. This little run probably cost $1000 or so?

Maybe worth it if the cars werent limited, but they are limited to 100 mph or less, which IS slow for a set up racing car. Alos you arent allowed to actually race people, i.e overtake and draught. My mate went and he got called into the pits for driving too close.

Probably cheaper to actually compete in real amateur events on dirt etc than do this a couple of times a year

  • @gnarkillius this doesnt cost much just look under richard petty driving experience and find out the prices. For this was around 350. My top speed was over 140 for the course i took that was the highest speed you can go. there are different speeds at different prices.

  • @gnarkillius The Rookie Experience is eight laps and costs about $470. If you buy an experience and then buy another within two years, you get a $200 discount. I was told the cars were chipped to not exceed around 140, but I drove 140 and never heard it chipping and two other people in my group had 142 and 144. Twelve miles in five minutes. You can buy extra laps too but I don't know the cost.

  • The camera makes it look a bit slow, but I understand it's gotta be pretty darned fast. I've gone a couple laps around TMS in a van at only 60 and it still felt pretty fast.

  • I was gonna' ask how you like'd it, but I could hear your hollering over that engine for nearly the whole drive!

    WOOHOOOO!

    Five stars!
