California's buying rate is up to 80% which is reflective of the amount of displacement of people and their families. What country do you live in? Where do these people go? refugee camps? Ok. I am a 47 Year old white guy. My wife and I bought a house. Then within 3 years I was laid off permanently. It took me 6 months to find a new job. That job paid severly less than the job I had when I bought the house. I went from $18.45 and hour to $7.50 hour. We lost our home to forcloser. So where the hell was ACORN when I was forclosed on? Oh wait...I am white. Found a job. Moved to a rental house. Took resposability for my situation. And didnt rely on the government to take care of me.

I'm in the same boat as you and I am going on eight months being laid off. What did I do? I did not renew my lease (thank goodness timing was on my side!) and moved in with my mom. Also took my severance to pay off my credit cards.

Getting real tired with the excuses. I have friends who are black and own their own homes and are responsible. Friggin' Acorn is such a disservice to black people.

By the way the plan only covers people who were not late with their payments.

My family and I grew up on tribal land in three beautiful homes that the grand parents built. Our town was a large farming area. In 2008 the state past something that allows them to take your home for agriculture. Now they are building some highway to mexico. 50 years ago our house was the only house there.
