@MyraVonD93 the backflip runs android which is a better OS but a MUCH older version. personally id get the E72 cause its a better version of the E71 faster and suppose to thinner.

@foxyfafa17 from what i have read it works on t-mobile and at&t...so using the two networks combined on one phone might improve your phones quality of service, especially on this phone since this phone has a lot of steel around and in it amplifying its antenna signal stregnth

My friend has this phone and when I checked it out, i thought it was a really good phone. Very user friendly and easy to get around. he doesn't have the straight talk plan and i think he is paying like 75 bucks a month lol

This is reasonably important seeing that straight talk doesn't allow for any overseas calling. And at least with an unlocked phone you can go overseas and use it there.

@Xolianders from what i have read the phone and sim in this particular phone is unlocked, but if it is not i have read on straight talks website that they will unlock the phone so that you could use it overseas using another carrier's network and sim card if the phone you have will allow it

I have twin teenage girls who have bugging me for years to get them their own cell phones but I couldn't afford to get two more phones at the ridiculous monthly rates that some of the networks are charging. I talked to another parent at my daughter's school who told me about straight talk and the $30 a month plan for 1000 minutes/texts, which is really all they need and I can get two monthly plans for the same price I'd be spending on one contract plan!

Ive looked into this phone quite a bit...ive heard the cell service is good..but where i live there is barely any recpetion...is there an app yuu could download to send text messages over wifi like on the ipod touch? Thanks for the review, been considering switching to straight talk for some time and this phone looks great. I just learned that they use the ATT and Verizon towers for service as well. Isn't that the main reason to sign a contract? And now you don't need to? Lol

Oh! so wonderful! that's the phone I have, and I was really happy when I got it, I'm currently using the $45 a month for unlimited service and the coverage is great! You will love your Nokia, it's pretty simple to use and has lots of features. Straight Talk is the way to go, neat phones and a very affordable price.

I really wish this video included more information about the phone itself rather than just the opening of the packaging - I wanted to send this to my brother since I got him that particular phone for Christmas as upgrade from his previous ST phone. Like the reviewer, I was also impressed with the look of the phone and I liked the options I read on the ST website...question though. How is the browsing speed on it? ST's calling network seems great but I was wondering about the internet speed...

@drmauraisles1 The browsing speed is good if using wifi...and should also be good if you are in a 3G data area, but it's acceptable in an area with EDGE data coverage. I'm also using Opera Mobile instead of the built-in web browser.

I don't particularly know why people feel the need to videotape everything they do like open a phone box. but I DO know that this is a fabulous piece of equipment, got it on Christmas and threw my blackberry out the window. Not that I didn't love it (I did!) but it cost too much and Straight Talk with this phone is pretty much the same exact thing.

U cannot use at@t with this phone there is no sim card it's built in at@t has there own version and u can buy it unlocked for any other service but straight talk thanks for the review

@richthecardude94 Actually, the phone does have a SIM card. I believe it is the only "unlocked" SIM that comes in a straight talk phone. Meaning, the you could take another GSM phone like an iphone and use the SIM card to run it on straight talk.

@Ambushcrysis yes if you put it in the iphone you can make calls and you can text...but to get the internet to work along with the mms messaging you have to modify the iphones settings and jailbreak the iphone...this is alos against your service agreement with straight talk and they reserve the right to cancel your service at anytime without notice or refund

I've concluded that this is probably one of the best phones Straight Talk has to offer. I didn't know service would be as reliable as it was and as a result I haven' t dropped any calls or had spotty coverage. This is an entire step up from past phones and I'm excited to continue using it.
