well dont get all butt hurt about mercury guy...it may be a chevy sponsered event, and it may be rigged, but if the ford didnt have enough traction to pull the chevy with just the brakes on then it more than likley wouldnt have pulled it in a real tug of war. chevy makes good trucks, ford makes good trucks...why cant we all just hate on dodge? lol
#2 Its got a locker...The Ford's of that year model only had a limited slip clutch style diff...which isnt nearly as strong as a full on locker.
#3 The Chevy just heald the brakes till the ford was smoking the tires and then just easily walked away...Had these trucks been equal and under the same circumstance's the ford would have walked the chevy.
PFFFFT... if ford put worse parts in their trucks then that would be the reason it lost... doesnt mean ford is better because they COULD HAVE put better parts in it... AND FYI mr truck facts, the gm has an open diff till the tires lose traction, and even then it takes a while for the diff to lock. which didnt happen in this scenario

If you knew ANYTHING about truck tug of war's you would know that all you have to do to win is Hold on the breaks let the other break traction then while he's melting his tires to the pavement you simply pull him backwards like he's on a sheet of ice! Thats EXCATLY what happend in this video! Pay more attention if you are going to make an arguing comment.
And another thing Mr. Internet warrior. Notice how I said that the Ford is an Extended cab vs a Chevy Quad cab! Thats a couple of hunded pounds extra weight right there for the Chevy. And its close to the rear tire's. So ya...Chevy does make shitty trucks. And they use Shitty parts. They set this event up to be unfair as possible. Not saying Ford hasnt done the same thing. ALL Automotive companys do it to make their cars/trucks look better.

The Chevy has sevreral advantages here.
#1 Its a Quad cab...the ford is extended cab.
