True. There are limos that are purposely built.

they are modified from "factory built" cars. But allot of them were designed and built at the factory with eventual stretching in mind. These cars aren't available to the public (only sold to limo builders). They feature stronger chassis, cut points (so the body retains it's shape when cut), Higher hp engines, and many more. Some are purpose built at the factory itself.
