  • Stop moaning about the costs. It isn't cheap to operate. They will be making fuck all profit on this. Big up to Sir RB for making this happen.

  • i see a lot of people complaining about the whole 200k USD to use this thing. Yes by all means that is still out of reach of the average guy, but hell, thats leaps and bounds better than the several million dollars of each of NASA's launches. Of course it is a bit unfair to compare the two, but it is still space flight at the end of the day

  • It is very strange to think in 100 years we have come from the first person in space to sending tourists into space.

  • Well i know in my lifetime i may not get chance to experience it :) but its a good thought for the future of my kids etc, or their kids, because after a few decades, space flight will be as cheap as a flight we have for a holiday to spain :)

  • Oh crap, where did I leave my spare 200 K? I will just have to find my flying pig to take me to my money tree...

  • If we get that much disbelief from mentioning it, imagine what Richard branson endured while the project was in its infancy, but i suppose that is the mark of a true visionary: they never give up

  • You got to give em credit. Just look at how many views this has. This should have way more. It has yet to properly reach the international conscience. I have been following this development for over 5 years now. Whenever i have mentioned this or commercial space travel to my pears i have just been laughed at. Well not only is it now an actual reality, with working spacecraft, but virgin recently began construction of the space port.

  • The problem is that one day space travel will loose its magic. Soon everyone will go to space. Maybe the next challenge is going out of the milky way! XD

  • If only they can make the entire front part of the plane out of transparent material, like that of fighter plan to ensure panoramic view, the experience will be heavenly...

  • 200k for only 15 minutes?! BUGGER OFF BRANSON, GO SPUNK YOUR MONEY UP THE WALL.

  • @flynny42 well i think it's worth enough..not all people could go to space and it becomes dreams to all people..now we don't need to be astronaut to see how beautiful of outer space

  • I think 200k is too much.

  • WILL RICHARD BRANSON 'POP THE CHERRY'???

  • HI IM RICHARD BRANSON AND IM A POMPUS WANKER FROM ENGLAND. IM GOING TO TAKE OVER THE RUSSIAN'S AND BEGIN THE NEXT COLD WAR LOL

  • @highihigh what a twat you are

  • @bravotwozero007 LOL 'twat'

  • That test pilot is a bit SLOW in terms of intellectuality.

  • DO Virgin Galactic HV Virgin ?,

    BUT I CAN'T AFFORD

  • I CAN FLY BY MYSELF , *** I "ACROSSED TO UNIVERSE" B4*** , DON'T U KN.

    SEE MY FLYING HERE.

    myspace.com/video/vid/107861341

  • Soon, we will have Galactic Airlines to take us around the moon and back.

  • its $200,000

  • I CAN GIVE US$7 FOR MY TICKET

  • WHO CAN BRING ME GO TO THE SPACE,

  • @HANREVENGE : Branson NEVER will aNYONE to space, he's a crook

  • @janjuliusalbert yeah , Richard Branson is a crook , he is a SUCK BOSS , SUCK SUCK SUCK BOSS,

    COS HE DIDN'T EMPLOY ME,

  • Virgin Galactic = Virtual Galactic ... forever

  • So who else kind of laughed at the phrase "Making space virgin territory"?

  • See the people who disliked this, their 13 idiots. The fuel used is hydrogen and Oxygen, when they're slowly mixed they let off an eco friendly flame. If they can keep that ship going and not dump it then, this will be so eco friendly, more so than than cars which are ruining our planet. -.-

  • And what people will find on "earth" if they continue to promote so much polued activities ?? A fucking big desert without drinking water and only bigmac to survive...this is my vision of appocalypse.

  • Man what an inspiring guy

  • @elhoots o yeah, to rip you off your money !

  • I would want to go into space if I could but I dont trust that crazy blonde dogeyed megalomaniac Richard Branson for a dime, I certainly wouldnt want to be the first test pilot...

  • whats flying on 3.22 to 3.44 in the background shooting through the sky ?????? take a look

  • @remydee123 ._. Maybe a star....or a space station....perhaps one of them wee things that roam the moon OR! aliens :P

  • @remydee123 : particles from the spaceship

  • @remydee123 your mum

  • i wish i had $200,000 :(

  • @02tnewton Samerz :c But! My Physics teacher said in like 10-20 (When Im like 20 or 30 ;P) years it'll be worth £1,000! :D

  • Ok. I booked my flight. Now i just got to find $200,000.

  • I'd like to sit down with the 13 people who disliked this video and ask them one simple and frank question... "did you take your antidepressant pills today?"

  • Costs only $200k, certainly "available to people of all walks of life"

  • @VandalayProductions It kind of is. 200k ain't exactly 2mil

  • @5teampunker I'm not moaning about it, but I can assure you that the majority of people (even in richer countries) do NOT have 200k to spare.

  • @VandalayProductions dude I have no money, but would happily spend the rest of my life saving for something like this. It's cheaper than what I thought it was gonna be

  • branson for president!!!!!

  • This guy just got himself a ticket directly to the history books, right there along with the Wright brothers, Yves Rossy and others ;)

  • @CellPhoneMern i'm just overwhelmed that this shit actually has happened in my lifetime, I honestly thought all that back to the future 3 stuff wouldn't happen in my lifetime, well, Richard Branson has proved me wrong!

  • @TimBrodo You know, back when I was young, my father and I had this kind of talks, in which he would say like "by the time you have kids, there will be tvs in 3d", and "by the time you have kids you will be able to travel to space". I´m only 19 and this things are already happening. The fact that humanity is doing these kinds of things at this point in time makes me really, really happy ;)

  • Wish I could go into space but I don't have 200,000$ dollars to pay for my ticket I hope as time goes buy the price will drop

And I will be able to achieve my dream of being an astronaut

  • No more Space Shuttle welcome private sectors. just like the movie Aliens hollywood is predicting mankinds future.

  • You're dreaming beardy. You can't run a train from Manchester to London!

So when these more money than brains wankers get to space, then what?

What good is any of it? Get Earth sorted first instead of wasting resources this way.

There are people without water or basic sanitation. Children born with AIDS.

    Lets get this sorted first.

A wealthy man with his bearded head up his own arse.

    Thinks he's fucking Jesus.

  • @karaloca Don't under estimate the power of inspiration.

Who's saying we can't solve our worlds problems and build space ships at the same time?

I agree our society needs dire improvement in many places, but why should others put their dreams and inventions on hold until we have it "just right"? and when is "just right" anyway?

ps. a Resourced Based Economy is the way forward socially, IMO.

  • @PhilipWitte Who's talking about inspiration? Is irrigating and feeding the poor not inspiring for you?

The fact is, these people have an option to do this with their lives, but they would rather go into space, reliving childhood dreams.

  • must

    restore

    credit score

  • This is the future of space travel. Not the coercive, government sector...but the voluntary, private sector.

  • Now make The Normandy all ready :) i'm Commander Shepard and i'm waiting on my ship.

  • @wrylie188 I'd vote for Richard Branson for president of the galaxy!

  • This was 2006...I just saw the vid of the new spaceship...5 years...No doubt Branson will have achieved success or failiure. Good luck to him and Virgin!

  • Modern Earth - 2006+

  • shit i want to go to space

  • Wow this is almost like watching a history documentory from the future!

  • I like Richard Branson

  • $200,000 hhmm need to start saving my pocket money!

  • Who owns the outer space? The free frontier is up for grabs for people who have the capability to reach it. It's theirs!

  • WOW .....just mind-blowing! Truly amazing!

  • love the guy who says "they'll look back and say my father did that, or my grandfather did that" his grandchildren will probably have there own space craft that can fly to the moon and back in a few hours and will laugh at our primative technology

  • Thank you Richard Branson. You're just great!

  • lol i bet the yanks will be saying branson for president after all obama has killed nasa hahaha.

  • @Jimbob8971 True! Obama will be remembered as short-sighted man, scarifying the long-term to the short-term.

  • @Jimbob8971 Actually, Bush cancelled the space shuttle program (if that's what you're referring to) in 2005. #fact

  • @Jimbob8971 NASA killed NASA. I have personally talked to 3 astronauts and all had the same opinion about the structure and politics of NASA. Bad decision based off of politics and not science. They sat on patents for decades that would have brought NASA into the next generation of space exploration but the companies involved were making more off the Shuttle program. One very prominent astronaut said to me the shuttle program was built around the shuttle not built around the mission.

  • this marks the start of the new space race.

  • i want to go up there, although i just need $200,000 to buy a ticket -_-

  • In Soviet Russia space dreams of going into you.

  • Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Zaphod Beeblebrox?

  • D: There designs are so 50s D:

I love this time I am in.... were like at the very moment of moving from our old minds, kinda like our whole species is maturing.. I LOVEEEEE

  • D: There designs are so 50s D:

  • 3:25 is the evidence of a ufo for realll look

  • @HAYRIPITIR1 No, its just exhaust from the rocket.

    Look closely.

  • this man is making history

  • only if all CEO's were like this great man. all the interviewees looked so genuinely happy

  • AMAZING, THATS WHY SIR RICHARD BRANDSON IS MY IDOL, I HOPE SOME DAY BE THE 1% THAT THIS MAN IS.

  • Fuck Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm going!

  • It costs the taxpayers 51 million dollars to send 1 astronaut to and from the space station. In a mere couple years Sir Branson dropped the price to $200.000. Do the math! Even for the normal person I see it as a possibility before I have grand kids. At the risk of sounding cliche I cant wait for our world to step out into the final frontier and me along with the rest!

  • @shardsofsteel That's because the space station is in orbit, and virgin galactic flights only go just above the atmosphere. Though Several aspiring commercial spaceliners have orbital ships in the works.

  • @JBME huh? *&^* dib dib diididi dib lol morse code

  • Sir Richard Branson doesn't normally drink beer, but when he does... he prefers Dos Equis

  • NASA is'nt doing anything new. They said that in 2021 they will send "robots" back to the moon.

  • incredible! Thank you Sir Richard Branson

  • this is one of the few good things about kapitalism... love this

  • I don't think Richard Branson realizes the spiritual ramifications of sending people into Space outside the planet's atmosphere & it's associated dangers! Spiritual battles do exist up there & are conducted for the lives of people on earth whom God loves but the Devil hates! It's an age old story! See Ufo swarms. You may say how do you know, & of course I know better but I say: do you really? Are you an expert? You will be if you seek more information.. Google Activated Magazine

    See Issue Guide

  • @arch37 please get a reality check.

  • It's imaginative people like Mr. Branson who lead the way, others follow. Bravo !

  • you guys trademarked the name galactic but im sure you would need a shitload of more money to even go to the closest solar system, so theres nothing galactic about this. spend more money on people naming your companies.

  • This Guy is awesome wish I had that kinda moolah

  • queria que fosse eu...muito louco! hoho

  • Richard Branson=Visionary of the Century

  • Uh for all you fucks praising this Sir Richardson Branson, because of Spaceshipone. It was Co-Owner of Microsoft Owner Paul Allen and his Team that made it possible. All Branson did was become a Billionaire and slap a sticker of his Logo on ALLEN and Teams Spaceship!! That's all you bloody wankers!!!

  • @neilk500 yes but uhm......would those guys have done it for FREE???? someone had to pay their bills, and to those who allow them to enjoy what they do for a living and not have to worry about financial things, Sir Richard Branson is the COOLEST BILLIONAIRE of the Century!!!

  • @neilk500

I can see it now, 45,000 feet and it gets a 3 red ring error code.

  • How did you get here. Yeah, I went for a walk .... I took a horse... I took a bycicle..... I took a steam locomotive.... I took taxy... I took a plane... I took the levitating train... I took a space ship... I took a....

  • He's like Tony Stark, only BETTER.

  • I've heard that its also possible too go too the moon as a vacation trip but you wouldn't really land on the moon just orbit around the moon once and then return to earth the price would be around $100,000,000

  • For all walks of life?

yeah, i have $200,000 dollars kicking around......

    nice idea in principal though...

  • if i had even access to $200,000 i would buy the first trip to space then sell my story and pictures to a t.v/magazine and make my money back + more. :-)

  • 3:24 and 3:29 those are ufo nothing but ufos

  • @HAYRIPITIR1 No. There is loads of debree in space. Ice, shardsof rock that orbits the earth from millions of years of impacts on the earths surface. Also space junk. There are solar orbital debree to. On lunar missions one of the biggest hazards is solar debree. People dont realise how much there is in space.

  • @channelyourvoice sure thats thats what cia say about ufo do you worlk for them

  • @HAYRIPITIR1 No, but thats a fact.. There is loads of shit in space... It would be much weirder if we never caught footage of a piece of space debree. It would be so statistically bizarre if we never caught one...

  • This is sooo amazing =D im soo happy to go to space ...

  • The price seems totally worth it, once in a lifetime experience.

  • the price will go down and when it does i will go to space..and get drunk. ahhhhh just a dream

  • and now not only super rich can have space travel, the middle class can now too

  • i think i might hav to go to mars

  • I LOVE YOU RICHARD BRANSON!

  • ALTITUDE "FREE FLIGHT ON VIRGIN GALACTIC" Critically Acclaimed Super Inspirational-Relaxing-Soundtrack MUSIC as featured on Virgin Galactic NEW - JUNE 2010 ON My Channel *** NOW

  • he should donate millions of quid to charity so many rich people are so selfish nowadatys

  • it's my dream!!

  • So what is the next step? After a roller-coaster ride into space and back fulfills the entertainment/novelty aspect - what is the practical commercialization plan? Will this be the Spindrift (ala Land of the Giants) of sending ppl quickly across the globe? What of an orbital hotel on the way to a lunar base? All exciting stuff - but vaporware if there is not a vision or commercial value.

  • U.S. taxpayers paid $198 million dollars to build this spaceport. I've heard nothing about any plans to give it back. Furthermore they could sell the whole company to a foreign investor tommorow. The people that are going to be flying into space, are the same people that bet against the American economy and put your friends and familiy out of a job and out on the street. So though the idea of it all my seem "cool", the reality is that everyone just got their pockets picked, again...

  • Why wouldn't you people want to go to space? I'm thinking about depositing a small amount of money for some 20 years of my life just to experience this.

  • "My family thinks im a little bit tipsy but that's okay" Haha old man

  • space_pods occupancy for meditation, observatory or lounging above earth's atmosphere; space_games/sports ~ coming soon!

  • if u got money why the hell not.

  • mmm, i dont know actually i feel kinda weird, i work hard to pay the rent, i notice more all the financial problems around the world, and this.. virgin´s dude want to go to space, its kinda ironic, this monetary system is so flawed and stupid. i want to laugh and cry but i dont have much time cuz i have to work to pay the rent and food and a couple useless stuff that makes my life kinda confortable..... kinda!

  • i love virgins atlantic...

    **virgin :P

  • Nice! A high-tech roller-coaster for the elite. That's exactly what this nation needs to get back on it's feet... Who needs to "go where no man has gone before" when you can take a "breath-taking" journey to somewhere "safe" and familiar. What a waste of resources. This industry offers nothing to further the progress of humankind. Stack that paper Richard!

  • To:@metron626

Sure..a waste of resources, time, efforts..blah blah blah hehehe I bet if you had the spare money to do it, you would.

I know..it`s soooo futile, it offers nothing to mankind, but then again..what a great trip this would be, right?

By the way, I know I`ll never have that kind of money to go to space, but sure wish I did just to look at God`s creation from up there.

    God Bless you mr.

  • @thoromicina well it offers a lot to mankind. according to everyone who's been in space, it changes your view of the world. if we can get all those rich bastards up there so that they can change their views, then maybe we ll have a better world!

  • @661Sunshine I must admit you`re totally right about this, your point of view beats mine.. =)

    God Bless You.

  • @661Sunshine And mine also!! =D

  • @661Sunshine What's wrong with "rich bastards"?

  • @thoromicina Why not pray to god to lift you into space...Jesus says in the bible that every prayer will be answered.. Try it.

  • Hey Richard, Are you planning on giving the taxpayers back their $198 million?

  • People are starving around the world and "sir" is going to make more millions.

  • this is bullcrap 5 mins in 0g just go swimming its cheeeper. i think? also dont you think space travel is a bit old hat. we been going into space for like 60 years what with scram jets and other hybrid craft (space shuttle thats got to be a duck blind)i mean its so shit..

  • i have my $300,000 ticket and I'm gonna bust a powerful galactic nut when we are weightless, watch it hit someone in the face slow mo

  • Richard Branson is the coolest man on the planet.

  • @legacychesterfield Then you never Heard of Jacque Fresco

  • @legacychesterfield don't you mean the coolest man off the planet?

  • @legacychesterfield at least the coolest man in the solar system.

  • @legacychesterfield

    and in SPACE!! ;DDDD

  • Some goes to the space and some dies coz lack of water..Are we humans ?

  • Man, I hope this will be as awesome as it looks. I'd give anything to be in low orbit for a while.

  • This is what my retirement fund is going towards. And since I'll be out of money I'm just going to have them jettison me into space at the end of the ride.

  • Well said
