I would like you to try my suggestion for at least a week. I know how you feel and i want to help you guys. The key thing I found is if you don't concentrate on the symptom and focus on the daily life, you will have less symptom. I am not sure whether the symptom will go away from you forever or not. Why don't you think that it is your friend and be nice with him. Don't try to get away from him, but stay with him with happiness. You can be happy even though it's in you.

This is incredibly not true. . It's neurological. You can hide the motions and mask it and change or redirect it sometimes but the source is the body, not the MIND.

What I believe, the reason you have Tourette's syndrome because your mind is not strong enough. Another thing I want you to try is to relax, lay down on the floor and feel like your tension is gone. Focus on your breathing. And if you feel urge to do, just let it go and continue focus on breathing.

Some people don't have legs, don't have hands. Born without those. They face the difficulties both physical and mental. You can help people who are worse than you. Think that you have been experienced this symptom more than 5 to 10 years, right? how can it disappear in a month.
How useful is this stress tic corellation when tics are severe enough that many tests are hard to perform? I slam my head on things and punch things and that is stress full, but good luck safely testing anything when these amoung other severe tics get out of control.
I had tourettes when I was younger, but I grew out of it. I am surprised to see how many doctors are interested in this disorder considering the fact that people with this disorder live normal lives and are not dangerous. Plus, most people, like myself, grow out of it.... Schizophrenia, depression, obsessive compulsive, or addictions (to name a few) are disorders that are very interesting and in dire need of a cure... I would study those problems..

I had tourettes when I was younger, but I grew out of it. For some, Tourettes is to the point that they CAN'T lead normal lives. As an example, I have it so bad I can't function in school at all.
I'm sure you remember how it felt.
I have depression and OCD,. In my case, Tourette's is the one that's causing the most problems for me.
I hit other people, I hit myself. I've gotten several black eyes and bruises from this, along with almost breaking my nose.
Hell, I've broken a few windows around the house and put a few holes in the walls.

I get Full body tics, i shake and lash out , but i find it easier just to meditate sometimes, it calms you down, but its still hard
