  • @clark1wd lol

  • This car is perfect like it is.

  • great job! pretty much inspired to build one now. with all the years of erosion intact, i think that gives the car tremendous character, you put the money where it matters thats what counts. dig it!

  • What size tires are those?

  • paint it flat black and just paint the top so pull out the dents so the rust doen't eat threw the metal

  • absolut geile Karre , klasse Musik zu dem Video - passt 100% - ich bin begeistert ;-)

  • Why are people bitching about him chopping it?

BUTCHER! BUTCHER! BUTCHER! Im a huge fan of these cars chopped, sectioned original whatever, you don't see me getting on to some prius page and bitching to them. just look away.

    this cars truly one off

  • I like it!

  • Looks great! really nice chop, good proportion to the car...not overdone.

Long live the art of Hot Rodding

  • You fucking butcher.

It's called RESTORING. Try it. Especially with a classic like the one you just ruined.

  • @majorporpoise Are you serious douche bag? Classics were meant to be chopped and dropped...what's the point in turning into what is was? He improved it.

Go hop in your Mazda 3 and burn some rice, douche bag!

  • @rockabilly407 Classic cars were NOT meant to be butchered. He did NOT improve it. He ruined the classic look of it & turned it into a crappy looking, cheap street car.

I drive a Mustang II you prick. My great-grandfather worked at a GM plant you think I'd seriously drive a Jap-crap car.

  • @majorporpoise I'm the prick? When you came to this video with your douche baggery and started running your mouth!!! Go restore your Ford back to what it was in 197x and while your at it, get a life!

  • @rockabilly407 Yes I'm the prick because I'm saying that this assholes''s ruining a historical car that there will never be any more made of, & instead turning it into an ugly, cheap looking street rod. He could of just bought a disgusting rat rod, god knows there are enough old cars that were butchered.

Haha I'm not the one who doesn't have a life my friend, you're the one getting overworked over one man's opinion.

  • @majorporpoise me overworked...look who was wasting their non-existent life coming here calling this guy a butcher.

    Get lost!

  • @majorporpoise

Restoring is for the rich old farts with nothing better to do before they hit the grave... This lil 53 is a good example of what a REAL hot rod is. Real hot rodders like driving their cars, unlike the rich guys who like to trailer theirs and pile a bunch of crying dolls all over it.

  • How did you get the paint to look like that? IS there a clear coat over it protecting it from further rust?

  • Sick ass Chevy man! I've got a '53 210 and this is definitely the route it is taking but it isn't anywhere near what you've got! :)

  • God that's cool

  • Police Truck by the Dead Kennedys would have been a good song with this. Awesome car.

  • awesome ride man

  • Flippin' Nice!

  • Why lift it up? Keep it low!

  • BADASS

  • What kind of tires are you running?

  • Gorgeous Fucken Car Man...

  • she's so beautiful !!! i like it !

  • nuttin like an old v-8 shifting gears !

    kool car !

  • Usually I hate it when a car video turns out to be just some slideshow with music..

But Reverend Horton Heat I don't mind at all ;D

  • Great car, great video, well done! Great tunes too! i would totally have given a full 5 starz had that still been an option!

  • nice car, i had the same Cokers on my 73 c-10...red rallys though

  • Damn thats sweet, love that beer can tach

  • perfect

  • Holy shit!! I drew this car!!

  • I have a bagged 53 too, I notice you have Utah plates, where about in Utah, I live in Holladay, and would love to meet up some time to see yours.

  • how do you change our headlights

  • awesome! when are you gonna get it painted and interrior done? what color scheme are you gonna go with? This car would be tight if it looked good cosmetically.

  • thats the point is that it doesnt look good cosmetically, its what gives it character man. its called a rat rod, and a true one is like this rusty and or different colors..... great build man it looks awesome

  • Hopefully they didnt fake the paint job, looks good either way, but faking doesnt get the point across

  • dude thats rediculous, why would they fake a shitty paint job? do you really think they'd take a good car and sand it some so it will rust and put rusty chrome on it? the point of these cars is you can have an awesome car without dumping a ton of money in it and it looks like a fresh barn find. the guy started with what was a lightly rusted car and instead of completely restoring it he prolly just wanted to get out and have fun with some style and not break the bank

  • Yes, because I've seen it done. Actually about half of the "Rat Rod" s you see have a fake paint job, from the body, to signs on the door. It's not hard to do, and YES, they do cost alot of money, try finding a TRI-5 chevy under $3-4000. Parts are a whole nother factor. I paid $500 for my care support for my '64 ford. So yes you can put a ton of money into a rat, just as much as a high end street rod. 97 stommies are $100-200 a piece. Don't ever think cars are cheap.

  • lmao ok man you go on believing that people are fakig shitty paint jobs. as a matter of fact i have a 56 bel air two door post that i got for $1200 and a 57 ford two door ranch wagon that i got for $150. and if you know what youre doing you wouldnt pay $500 for a core support you'd weld and repair your old one. but what do i know i have only been doing bodywork since i was 13. you CAN put a ton into a rat rod but most guys dont have that much in them if you really look at all the bills.

  • also if you really knew what you were looking at you could tell this guy didnt 'fake' his paint job. idk where you live besides maybe croatia that you cant find old 50's rods for less then four grand or if people can just tell youre an easy mark and want to rip you off or what, but there are still plenty of them out there. and my point is true car guys that know what there doing that start out with a solid enough base can build a nice rat rod for next to nothing

  • I live in Michigan, and obviously you dont read HRM. A couple years ago, a guy did a 'glass car, and faked a paint job similar to this. Even used different drill bits for rust holes. And why would people fake it? Styling, and fashion. I'm glad you can get shit on the cheap, more power to you. But to find org. stuff is getting hard and expensive. And for my rat ruck, I have over $7 grand in it, and still working on the body. I started when I was 15, now I'm 22, but its been off and on.

  • I have some questions. What did you use to french the headlights? Did you do your top? How did you fit the glass back in? Bad ass car!

  • Headlights are just the stock trim rings welded on but sheet metal was used to tunnel the buckets back. The back window is stock but just leaned forward to meet the roof and the gap at the bottom was filled.

  • hey can you update your video its great we need more include the undercarriage thanx

  • Bad ass Ranfla!!!!!

  • my car goes to be in the same style that its, very wild its car

  • my car goes to be in the same style that its, very wild its car

  • badass ride !
