no, a midi foot controller is convenient to use the VG in live situations but that's optional.

and you may consider other pickup options instead of the gk3. The Graph Tech ghost system for instance, or a midi ready guitar with the system built in

Well that's depending on what you compare to...A professional musician need professional gear... just like a cabdriver needs a decent cab, not some old junkmobile... A cabdriver will probably spend more to get his car than a musician spends on his gear.

Hi Fred, feine Sache. Danke. Wie würdest Du die Latenzzeiten bewerten ? Könnte man beim VG-99 mit Gituar to Midi z.B.: das Sax von Lilli was here auch mit der Gitarre spielen ? Oder sind ist die Verzögerung von der Gitarre in einen Synthi/Expander zu groß als das ein brauchbares Spiel zustande kommt ?

Rein technisch gesehen muß es eine Latenz geben, denn zunächst muß das Pickup ja die Frequenz der angeschlagenen Saite erkennen und in eine MIDI-Note wandeln. Theorie...

Praktisch hören tut man das aber nicht. Und es gibt bisher auch keine Klagen wegen einer merklichen Latenz in Foren etc.

"Lilli was here" sollte also funtionieren. Ich kann nur sagen: Gitarre frei und sauber greifen! :D
