Here's the way it usually works in Houston - they 1st work as a day labor but after they get a li'l money, they want a permanent job so they buy a SS card (available at the flea market) - now about 15% of the wages go to SS - Soc Sec admits to getting billions each yr that they won't have to pay out on. At end of yr, employer notified SSN doesn't match so moves on to 2nd job - but w/other taxes is paying about 20% rate while super-rich pay only 15%

@DillonDee1 - yes, for the richest 10% in the USA most of their income comes from Dividends & Cap Gains & Bush lowered the tax rate on them to 15%, then if they add some Tax-Free Bonds like Cheney, they may get down to 12% & then if they stash in the Caymen Islands they get below 10%.
Meanwhile, instead of 15% the rich pay, most in the middle class are paying around 30% in total taxes & the illegal immigrant around 20%

this is tough issues...I think any country or place should be able to say we have financial problems and people cannot find job do you have permission to be here. the problem is that police and employers have bad history of using laws like that to unfairly target people. having probable cause to stop someone saves all people from harrasment by authorities, some of the hispanics are citizens and should have right not to harrassment from unprobable causes.

Imagine how it would feel if a police officer comes up to you and says, "Prove to me that you are here legally." What are you going to do? A drivers license is not adequate. You would have to pull out your freakin' birth certificate, like your dog collar. If you were white, no officer would ask you if you're here legally.

you know what? people get all upset that alot of hispanics come but its not like there much differant than white people. i mean there a little tanner. thats it. give it 20 years. theyll be assimilated and it wont be that much differant. it happend with the italians, puerto ricans, and asians it will happen to them as well

Mexicans are the reason America as we knew it is being taken away from us? Come on man we all have to aspire to be informed on at least a MINIMUM level if we the people are going to take our country back. They shouldn't complain. In many countries they are not allowed to cross the border and become citizens. Nor do these countries recognize this bs thing called "anchor baby." Most of these people would have been kicked out, never had been a citizen, or killed.

That's why, it;s a true dark side of history. You're contradicting your self.
