  • Hi Johnny, saw you at Ripley yesterday. Magnificent and Voodoo Chile, wow, I knew Hendrix wasn't dead, tell Mr Grainger he was incredible ! Met you with Louis at half time in Snooker Room. Thanks for letting him play, he really loved the gig. Will post the video footage I took: Wild Horses,Old Man and Voodoo Chile on Poppa1951 (that's me) . Andy should have you on more than once a year. Best band I have seen at Ripley and I have seem most of them. Cheers and thanks, David.

  • @poppa1951 @poppa1951 Dear David, Thank you for your kind words and I am sure that you are very proud of your son who for his age was remarkable. Very assured and totally confident on a full size guitar. Imagine if he keeps this up by the time he is 15 he will be truly frightening. Then you can think about sending him to Berkeley University in the USA where he will learn everything there is about guitar and that would be the opportunity of a lifetime. John Kennard not Gary was the guitarist.

  • Saw the band at the Beaverwood Club, Chislehurst last night. Best show of the year for me. Great finale of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' breaking into 'Magic Bus' half way through. You must see this band if they are on near you.

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!!

  • It so happens I am going to see TOBY MARRIOTT (Steve's son) tonight at the OLD SMITHS BAR in Atlanta GA

  • Dear Doddy, Hope its a great night for you all. Never ever introduced to Toby but saw him all those years ago at The Astoria. If its all in the genes? then he is indeed a very fortunate and talented young man !! Loved his Dads voice....without doubt probably the best white blues/soul singer this Country ever produced.....bar none.

  • Check them out at the Boom Boom Club in Sutton or the Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst, where they always blow the roof off - great atmosphere;

    Coming up:

    Fri 23 rd Oct at the Hub /Tooting & Mitcham FC, Bishopsford Rd, Morden SM4

    The 60's never sounded so good!!

  • Superb performance from a great Band !!

  • Absolutely great. Get down and see them at the Half Moon, Putney or Sutton Football club, playing on a regular basis. Cheers Johhny.

  • BRILL TUNES WELL DONE THE MODS

  • Brilliant!

    I bought those three records in the early eighties, and always wondered where Johnny Warman had ended up...

  • One truly classy act! Steve would've been proud of this version. Like I thought this is a supergroup. Cheers Johnny!
