Go onto steam and type in "Insurgency" in the search and it will come up. You have to have CS:S installed, or HL2.

if you play counter strike source or any other game like that then download this, play it and laugh about how unrealistic all the other games you played before this are lol i did. remember, this mod has iron sights and no crosshairs but you can still shoot without right clicking and using them so a trick is to put a piece of tape on the pary of your screen were the gun shoots. this trick is not very accurate but is good for indoor use :)

this is a mod, and a beta for now, not a full length revolutionary game. The people who made this mod apparently did the voices themselves, they didnt hire people to do voices, thats why it sounds crappy. They apparently wrent too good at voice acting, give them a break, i think its a pretty good game and most realistic to date. More realistic than COD4

its a fun game, but its a bit too actiony for my tastes, just like red orchestra. your weapon is too steady when you move, and the irons are glued to the middle of your screen.

im just nitpicking really, its a fun game, but i feel like it's just not as good as it could be.

Why are people comparing this mod to Red Orchestra? They're both on different game engines and different timeframes. One thing about this game I like is the way the scope lens scales when viewing through it, after beta 2.0 alot of people are complaining about too much recoil which is true but that's what happens when you shoot a full automatic weapon.

This mod has alot of potential, one day it'll become an independant title.

And why would you want to pirate? Just pay the damn $9 for HL2 jeez.

This game is so realistic it makes little boys balls drop. The gameplay is awesome.. i havent played cod 4 or anything but iv heard all about it and insurgency is bangin in comparison. Doesn't matter how the gameplay is, but you can only truly call a shooter game realistic when the only aim you have are iron sights and an occasional scope. It takes a lot of skill and teamwork and having a player become squad leader is all cool.

what i prefer in this mod is the minimalistic HUD, emptying my screen is something i've always been very glad to do in FPS's, adds a lot to the experience not to have info on the screen. Anyway health drops down like IRL in this game so i guess a meterbar aint needed at all.
