well put. i understand that generally at acoustic gigs you dont sing along, yet what i find most appealing and comforting about the gaslight anthem is the connection they have with the audience through their songs and lyrics. and so by the crowd singing along shows a fantastic sense of unity, even if it is unplugged.
I was at this show....and all i have to say is that the crowd was AMAZING!! Everyone sang quietly it's just hard to understand when the person next to this video camera is singing directly into it......trust me this crowd was amazingly courteous to an acoustic gig....
i love the sound of the crowd singing along. when i'm playing i love when my audience plays along, granted i've never had a gig like this. but even so...

jattaful i think the bad voice comes from the guy who is holding the cam. Brians Voice is just great, no doubt about it.

joshoneeightytwo 2 years ago
i think its the same chords as the album just played in a different key.
Am, F, C, G for the whole song, i believe.
jzancan 2 years ago
yep, capo on the 3rd fret, lots of B flats thrown in
IanDorrinson 2 years ago
yeah, basically Am F C G but i play the F as 11233 top string to bottom :)
BrookePhillips1 2 years ago
@BrookePhillips1 ain''t that the normal way to play it then?
idbuybelgium 1 year ago
@idbuybelgium Well sorta, normally itd be 112331 but you can leave out the bottom string, brian does that quite a bit

Dont these fans know the unspoken rule of not singing along in an acoustic or unplugged gig, its blasphemous. It screws it up.

right on, man. i completely agree. maybe brian doesn't mind, but i know i wouldn't like it.
