This is Taiko, The Chinese musical tradition doesnt use the angeled drum. The drums are either upright or resting on the ground. Also, the apparel of the drumers dont cover there kness, Bare knees in the chinese culture is scene as being improper, and especially disrespectful in places of worship.
The melody sounds like taiko, but that's in a Chinese community. I live near in a city near Rowland heights, which is where Hsi Lai temple is located in.
Red roof temple, lady in silk dress and drumming rhythm don't sound like taiko so must be Chinese. But the drum arrangements are taiko-like so I see how you made your statement :P
