  • This movie made me cry. Especially during this part.

  • What's the whole song called?

  • It's "Be still, now..." not "Be still, love..."

  • @OrganizedChaos246 are you sure its not "be still, love ..."

  • This movie may be very inaccurate, but it was one of my favorites as a kid.

  • Her voice <3

  • yo, my mom would sing this to me all the time when i was younger ^.^....good ol days

  • N'aww, I used to watch this all the time when I was younger ^^ brings a tear to my eye now though!

  • Hands up if you think Moses' mother resembles Angelina Jolie.

  • Ofra Haza sounds a MILLION TIMES BETTER then fucken Amy Grant! They should of left the original on the sound track!

  • beautiful song, rip ofra haza....beautiful woman, with an incredible voice! this soundtrack will always get a 10/10 from me!i need to watch the cartoon again its been years...from 1998 till now 20011!

  • I cried.

  • I couldn't live through a time like this. I would cry if I had to do something like this, but she's a good mother though. :'<

  • My favorite Lullaby everrrr....

  • Watching this movie in RE. Pretty Good, Not Finished Yet Though:)

  • I love this movie! Does anyone know where I can get this movie on DVD? I only have it on VHS, and my machine is starting to crap out! :( Beautiful song btw! well done to the person who wrote the music for the movie!

  • @prettypianoplayer100 Try Amazon they have a load of old videos on dvd :-)

  • The songs in this movie are utterly amazing, I get chills every time I watch it.

  • i get chills every time...

  • This ez my favorite part of the movie :)

  • This song makes me cry every time and I love it.

  • dam i just got major goosebumps

  • It breaks my heart that this beautiful singer died on my birthday ): R.I.P Ofra Haza

  • RIP Ofra, we love you!!!!! Best singer ever.

  • my mom whould sing this to me to get me to go to sleep when i saw this for the first time i cryed cauze i lost my mom in a battle with cancer

  • I mostly stray away from this movie due to the religion concept being as open to discussion as it is (and let me tell you I hate it when peeps start talkin' religion) but this song I can not help but love.

    <3

  • @Kapuchino157 that just shows how rasit you are u bitch

  • @disogroveygirl

I'd reply with a retort that defends me and my mind set but, I'd hate to be the one who starts a spam fest on a video as pretty as this.

If you really liked it. You's comment about the song, not reply to my comment.

    Have a nice life.

  • @Kapuchino157 1) by replying you are cotrodicting what u just said about not rypling to a comment 2) i found what u said rasit which is ilegal btw and 3) your mind's "set" as you said is lame escuse not to fight back because u know im right and if u really want to argue go to my youtube account coolboy183 and don't spam my sister

  • @disogroveygirl Kapuchino157's comment was not racist. They simply said they normally object to movies with religous overtones (which is not racist), but that they enjoyed this song. (Again, not racist). Racism is attacking a race. Religous groups are not races. Plus, they weren't even attacking religous groups, just stating they don't like religous movies. This is not a crime. No need to get so het up.

  • @disogroveygirl Racism isn't illegal, it's just really, really frowned upon. GENOCIDE is illegal, and SLAVERY is illegal, but not racism. Also, I find it very hard to take someone's argument seriously if they don't even take the time to spell out whole words and use proper punctuation and spelling.

  • @iceegirl121314 1) i will think you find that racism is illegal in the uk 2) I don't what stuff said to me about what is typed almost a month ago 3) It wasn't me who typed that my brother typed that thinking he was on his account 4) it's not his falut he can't spell you can't just insult somone on that you don't know them,

  • @Kapuchino157 i apologise for what my brother typed i don't think what you said was rasist he got the youtube accounts mixed up. and i think what you said was just what you thought but some rash thinkers may find offensive again i appologise

  • @disogroveygirl

It's alright, It is kinda my fault

sorry I started this *awkward giggle*

thank you for putting up this video, it's wonderful

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! I grew up watching this movie, I still almost tear up watching this part...People who dislike this videos dont want other people to know that they started to cry.

  • Sang this to my cat tonight before we had her put down. I'm tearing up listening to it.

  • @lovetehskippy *heart breaks* I recently lost my kitty too. <3

  • @lovetehskippy ........wtf???????????????

  • love love love this soooo much

  • when i have kids this will be there lullaby :)

  • everytime isinq this to my cousin to make him fall asleep im always cryin :(

  • My sister used to sing this to me when I was really little as she was tucking me in. Her voice is so beautiful, so it was especially powerful.

  • Cute, plump little baby Moses!

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is more powerful if you do believe.

  • I love this song

  • Chills. Chills every time!

  • I think this song is most precious. Don't get me wrong, I am religeous. However I think the over all messege is cherish what you love, because you never know when you have to make that sacrifice to let it go :)

  • I believe in god, in hope, and in peace. I loved this movie. I may not be as powerfull and noticable as moses, but I like to bring as much peace and happiness in my life, my friends and people around me as much as I can

  • when i little i watched this movie and my mom always sing it to me when i went to sleep then six years ago my mom passed away and everytime i hear this song it makes me cry but i love it

  • I love this song

  • The prince of egypt is the only movie in the world that makes me shiver during most of the scenes, *everytime* I see it.

  • @BeautifulXDreamer94 Same here. I'm not religious at all, so I truly don't believe in god. I believe there must be something, but I don't follow the bible or any of that, but this movie is one of the best films of all time. I take it as just a movie, but it's still a powerful one. The artwork/imagery, songs, acting, etc...is amazing, and even to people like me, who DON'T believe in the story, it's still a wonderful masterpiece of a film. You know a film has everything right if that's the case.

  • i couldn't be strong enough to let my baby go everytime i listen to this song i cry i singing this to my kids one day

  • Used to love this movie when I was younger!

  • i got goosebumps...

  • I don't care if you're religious or not, but this is a beautiful movie and has some of the best songs I've ever heard in an animated film.

  • this song is so beutiful it gives me goose bumps everytime :o

  • LOVE the movie. LOVE the songs:)

I've been watching this since I was little and I still watch because I love seeing what god did and how Moses had the courage to be the deliverer. I will sing this to my kids when I am older

  • she looks like my mother. :)

  • My sister showed me the notes for this, so now I can play it on clarinet and piano. My most favorite lullaby ever.

  • I always fight the urge to cry watching this

  • i used to sing this for my little sisters

  • why is it moms in moies like this are always so pretty?

  • I sing this song to my little girl at night. I love this movie, this scene especially, I always cry for the mother.

  • Love this movie so much, and this part always manages to give me chills!!

  • such a wonderful lullaby...i have good dreams after listening to this!

Their mother is sooo beautiful...when the tears are rolling down her cheeks...*sigh*...sweet yet sad moment :')

  • oh i love this song soo much!!!

  • @TheFunnysmile123 YOU´RE RIGHT SHE´S AWSOME!

  • 19 people hated this because it made them cry.

  • It's always my favorite part.... If I had a child(MAYBE) I would sing this song to it.

  • okay now i can see that thar not sing. my sisdr is comeing . okay no twae ther sing

  • 19 people got water in there ear from the river

  • makes me cry everytime....must be so hard for a mother to give up her child. shes putting hiom i n a river so she dosnt even know if he will live!! DANG!

  • So many memories

  • oh ok i see i was just wounder thanks for the upload

  • @bratastiful

maybe its cause babies hair can change, i know that when my brother was born he had light brown hair, but naturally it darkened and now its really dark

  • 18 people are deaf..no other reason to dislike this

  • @bratastiful, probably just an oversight. Thought I did remember reading that the mother was designed to look like the singer, apparently the artist was taken aback by the singers beauty. Maybe the artist was to starstruck to draw baby moses properly.

  • This song makes me so misty-eyed. Just beautiful. One of the greatest films of all time.

  • how come baby moses has light brown hair and his mom his sis and bro has all drak hair maybe he looks like his dad then again in the movie he has dark hair

  • @bratastiful hair darkens as you grow. some brunettes are even blonde when they're little.

  • 18 people never got lullabies.

  • the mom is so pretty i cant stop watching this i cant imanged her feeling when she let go of the basket in the river im going tob 18 and im grl i dont have kids but even for me i feel her pain. i wonder what the baby was thinkin after he couldnt here his own mom anymore after the river took him

  • I absolutely love this song!!!!!

  • i have this song in every language even hebrew so soothing and sad i could never do tht :,(

  • i love this video :) so peace full

  • goosebumps!

  • @ChocolateChau You can blame the Media and that nasty handful of Extremeist for that.

They don't exactly paint a preaty Picture.

    It's a shame really.

  • this scene never fails to make me cry

  • I'm satanist but, I just love this song <3 <3 Just because ur of a different religion doesn't mean u can't like a certain song from that certain religion. :P Get over ur differences

  • Best song ever...this was my childhood

  • 17 people do not belive in god

  • @TheStewartmovies i dont believe in god but that doesnt mean that i dont like this vid. i absolutely love it

  • @Bibiwolfhound

    me too

  • This may be a small peice of musc but a tear ALWAYS manages to run down my face whenever i hear it.

  • @blackgirlanimefan15 Same here I can't even sing it aloud without a tear falling from my eyes

  • Love diis song

  • I do NOT like the Amy Grant version, it's nothing like the movie. I ALSO can't find the original lyrics anywhere. All I can find when I search is Amy Grant's version. DON'T want it! Anyone knows please tell me.

  • I cannot find the hebrew/english lyrics for this ANYWHERE. I would really like to learn the whole song from the beginning where she is sneaking from the guards. =(

  • I have always wondered this, not just about the Irealites in this movie, but in other suffering countries as well... why do they have children? I mean, I live in a developed country and I don't want to bring a child into this world. Why would anyone in an underdeveloped country want to? It seems cruel to have a child just so it can carry on the family name or take care of the parents when they grow old. I'd rather die than put my child through that...

  • im constantly humming this and i HAD to look at it again

  • This song always brings chills down my spine. :)

  • Where's the full version of her singing this?!

  • Much better than Amy Grant. Nope.. doesn't even compare. The emotion here is just incredible.

  • This is the lullaby I sing to my baby every night

  • i love this movie and this song!! its so beautiful!!

  • I can't believe people would be so disrespectful to verbally bash something involving the Bible. :|

  • i'm going to sing this song to my kids when they're babies.

  • @A13XMAR5 i just hope it wont be their last lullaby that night..

  • god, this song gets me every time.

  • there should be a 'love' button for this

  • @angelicsongbirdJ lol, I guess it is. XD I just seriously hate trolls.

  • @XxLiveToSingxX They are horribly annoying. :) I know what you mean.

  • Hush now, my baby...be still, love, don't cry...

My favorite part of this. Makes me cry everytime, I'm definitely going to this to my children. :') <3

  • I'm going to sing this to my kids <3

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Go troll somewhere else. If you hate Jews so much, at least be polite and keep it to yourself or post your comments somewhere else that is more appropriate. I'm not a Jew, I am a Christian, so don't say "Oh you Jews are brainwashed" or whatever you've been rambling. Everyone has a right to their beliefs, so seriously grow up.

  • @ SomePeople LikeThem: The story about Israel is recorded in Qoran too. And moslems believe their Qoran from Allah. So you must blame Allah if you think there is something wrong with the story of Israel in Egypt.

  • @MyChanable Pharoah feared the Isrealites because he feared that they would try to take over Egypt so he made them slaves and ordered that all the baby boys be thrown into the Nile. Moses' mother sent him down the river because it was the only way she could save him, she did it because she loved him. Read the story in Exodus

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." -- rabbi David Wolpe in 2001-

read on the internet the 2001 Los Angeles Times featured article "Doubting The Story Of The Exodus". The jews know exactly how to brainwash the primitive masses thru bogus historical narratives.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem : Oh yes, the ~secret jewish conspiracy~, out to brainwash the masses as if history's never distorted from the truth by simple force of time and human error. That wasn't a little xenophobic at all, now was it?

  • the jews never stop with their attempts to supplant historical truth. The make-believe "Bible" jews were all invented to supplant real-life Egyptian icons such as Amenemhet (Abraham), Thutmose (Moses) and Imhotep (Joseph). The ten commandments story was invented to supplant the Code of Hammurabi. The bogus "Holocaust" claims were fabricated to supplant the real genocides done to the native American Indians, west African slaves, Congolese, Armenians, Ukrainians, Poles, Japanese and the Germans.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem : Okay, never mind, you're just batshit insane. Go back to sleep and make sure to wear your tinfoil hat so the aliens don't beam you up, okay? Night-night.

  • everything to do with jews in their history is total lies because Lucifer is the father of all lies so cannot have his children walk in the truth.

  • I think I had a friend with a dog named Lucifer once.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Dude, you do realise your reliigon is based on some guy who went up into a mountain, had a revelation that noone else ever saw then lived his life by slaughtering many and marrying a six year old whilst maintaining concubines? give the Jews a break, when are you going to realise you will never destroy them, everyone has tried in the last couple of thousand years and all have failed...I wonder why??

  • the jews of the Bible no longer even exist if you knew anything. The jews of today are converts and assorted criminals from around the world. Perhaps only around 10% of the jews today have any connection to the Bible. The jews are nothing but but human invention.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem I love the internet.

  • @McSuperfly101 This is kinda entertaining, this disscussion, isn't it? Heehee. :)

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem they no longer exist!? they are the exact same Jews that were scattered around the world by the Romans! Criminals? They have achieved and brought alot more to mankind than Muslims ever have whilst Islam is renowned for mainly violence and terrorism! Read the Bible my friend and see how you have been blinded by your religion, the Jews are the chosen people and Christ is their messiah!

  • @healylegend07 Hey, I'm Jewish and Christ is not my messiah.

  • @israel8422 I know that you don't believe he is your messiah, but I would really urge you to look into the old testament and look at how all the prophecies come true with Christ. I have the greatest respect for your religion and your people above any other peoples on the planet and believe you are apple of God's eye as God is true to his word and the agreement he have to Abraham. I just pray you would look to Christ and find that what he did fulfilled the old testament perfectly.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Ya- some weirdo Jew "fabricated" that 6,000,000 Jews were slaughtered within 6 years. Get a life man. 4 of my grandparents went through the holocaust- My grandfather was in the camps for 5 years. Why don't you ask him if his stories are a fabrication of what really happened? Why don't you go do some research, how about look at some pictures, and tell me after that it was really the Germans who have undergone a "real genocide". Your jealousy and hatred is quite obvious.

  • I watched this movie when I was a little girl. That was my favourite scene & it always touched me so much. And now That I'm older I just can't stop crying. <3

  • @followyourdream28 the same happens 2me and i feel like a big baby but now i nderstad the meaning 2 it not like when i was little

  • @5strellita yeah...me too ;)

  • @SerenaiXdemom, that is beautiful.

  • ,Her voice is that of an angel.

  • One of my favorites...even though I am not religious...but its such a good story :)

  • WHAT A HORRIBLE MOTHER!!!

SHE SENT HER BABY DOWN A RIVER!!

  • @MyChanable she did it to hide him from the soldiers who were after all the boy babies pharoh was afraid of the uprising of the slaves so he decreed that all the boy babies would be put to death she was saving him.

  • @MyChanable

she is not a horrible mother!! she did it to protect her son because pharao ordered his men to kill all baby boys. Listen carefully to the lullaby if u cant then watch the movie through youtube but if u have seen the movie u have to understand the movie so u will know why yocheved (the mother) did that...

  • @MyChanable it was that and give him a small chance of survival or stay home and watch as he got hacked in half by pharaoh's soldiers, which would give him no chance of survival. do you know the story of Moses?

  • o hall god glory to ur name in the highest

  • I love this part, I always practice this just so when I'm older to sing mine to sleep.of course, I would never would give my baby away, but I do see from her perspective. She wanted her baby to be safe, and not to have the life they have now, and to definitely not to be snatched by one of the Pharos guards only to sustain an croc's appetite. But I would, in order to safe him/her from the dreadful life they lead now.she did it so Moses could survive. I understand her reason, and some what agree,

  • All glory, honor, and praise be to the LORD!!!

"Before the mountains we born or You brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God." Psalm 90:2

  • I want to sing this to my baby(:

  • I sang this to my dog as she died. I don't regret it. ♥

    Miss you, beb.

  • @SerenaiXdemon That's beautifull.

  • @FerntearandTails Thank you.

I just sang the first song to come to mind.

  • @SerenaiXdemon i feel bad for you, my friends dog was named Beb and she got ran over by a train......

  • @immabehere101 ;~; That's terrible. I hope your friend is alright with that circumstance.

My dog's name was Java. She's not the only one I've lost.

Beb is a cute name... ♥

  • @SerenaiXdemon yeah shes fine i got her a knew dog i hope it helps her feel better

  • @SerenaiXdemon u let ur dog flow down a river??

  • @jacklyn3090 No, but that sounds like a lot of fun. o:

  • @SerenaiXdemon That takes a lot of heart to do... It's inspiring to hear...

  • @IronKnuckleKO Oh, thank you.

Yes, it was difficult to sing. I was crying at the time, and when I cry, my voice doesn't work so well. Still, I wanted to make her feel better.

  • @SerenaiXdemon i would have sing this to my doggy but my mom stuck him in a trash bag and she "misplaced him"

T^T your dog went by listening to a beautiful song by their caring owner.. how kind of you

  • @SerenaiXdemon omg!! :( hug hug hug hug-

  • 16 people are pharoes servents! >:( T~T

  • There shouldn't even be a dislike button allowed for this video

  • I sang this to my daughters every night at bedtime when they were babies!

  • gooosebumps

  • When I was little, I actually cried when she let go of his finger.

  • <
