  • if got a small question. what is a good weight for the rs 700?

  • @MrTrapper2009 75 to 100+kilos

  • @aggressiveman666 bullshit!!! I sail a 700 and its easier than the Laser Vago I have...the Vago was ok to learn to trapeze on and use a kite etc...but my 700 is far lighter and easier to sail.

You might need more weight though, you can always add a mast head float to stop the boat inverting if you spill it.

Go try one out sometime, best dinghy I ever bought so far. My gybes are a bit shit with the kite out but getting better.

  • @aggressiveman666 No, I wouldn't sail this boat until you are a minimum of 160 and have a few more years of sailing under you. You can't appreciate how hard these boats are to sail until you actually try to sail them and will probably spend the first several months capsizing.

  • the thought of cleating the main in winds of lets say more than 15 kts and hoisting a spi is terrifying...

but actually doing it is of course absolutely f*cking fantastic :D

  • Finally some footage of 700s properly powered-up - you make the planing gybes look easy
