@wesselbindt While I'm sorry to hear that, I cant help but wonder.... your 4? My goodness children are learning to type at a young age! Give them a closer "listen" perhaps you will like them. Thanks for the comment!!
For bands that have been around as long as Rush, lots of fans won't respond well to new music that's different from the original formula that won them over. I on the other hand am starting to like the new stuff even more. Why? BECAUSE ITS NEW. Its something I haven't heard before from a band that I absolutely love. Don't fear change; embace it.
One review in 2007 called S&A "the Alex Lifeson Show." It really is a magnificent showcase of rock guitar at its finest, backed up by the best drums and bass on the planet.
@PopCulture20 black or white dont matter bro..just realize u know something that most of the world doesnt...its called RUSH...treasure this band...never has been and will never be another like it...peace
@TheRainz007 I can certainly try! As I stated...the beginning sound when I uploaded this was sooooo much better than the end result. I'm still new to all this, but will try to upload that as soon as I can. Thanks for the comment!
@EdMcStinko Oh yes...such an under-rated album indeed. That was my actual "first taste" of Rush back in my High School days. A friend gave me this cassette tape (remember those!) covered in soda and said..."here listen to these guys, they rock!" So...I took it apart, cleaned the tape, and was treated to the most amazing sound I had ever heard. Thanks again for the comment!
i dont get it, alot of rush fans didnt like this album, ill admit i didnt care for it all that much at first but its grown ion me this is an amazing album and im extremly looking forward to clockwork angles :D
@cptXmunch I couldn't agree more! Its not so much about the music, as it is the people behind it to me. They are human just as us, and have problems just like us, but can still create worlds for us to travel to with their music. Thanks again for the reply!
@cptXmunch Snakes and Arrows is a really, really good album from start to finish. Vapor Trails is underrated too, as I'm sure Clockwork Angels will be as well. I really love the new stuff as much as the old stuff. They just write really solid songs. There are no other musicians in history who have been this good for this long.
This song kicks ass. This whole album rocks. I haven't liked a Rush album from beginning to end since Signals. Vapor Trails was a start in the right direction except for poor production quality. Snakes And Arrows was a well rounded album. That is my opinion of course.
@DivisionbyZer0 Quite right; one only need close their eyes and be transported to that place where we can truly appreciate the true power of music, and of course natures stunning displays...thank you for the comment!
@jjcjammer What better of a mood to share with your son...musicians that rely on their passion and talent, rather than scantily clad figures and negative words. I hope your son enjoys and thank you so much for the comment!
@wesphilbin hey thank you brother!!!! Rush fans have to stick together. We are a massive minority that truely appreciate Alex, Geddy and Neil's musicianship. I only want to pass my it on to my 3 children!
@rushlover56 Well said...though he may not "shreek" like days of old, his voice still carries the passion thus helping to emphasis the true meaning of the mood...thanks for your comment!
@fireplug111 I wouldn't say awful. I would say a terrible riff, monotone vocals, and drums all over the place. Not Rush material. This is still better than most of today's music though.
@Nonah1223 We all strive to hear that which makes our heart smile. While the vocals are somewhat monotone, drums all about, and riff rises and falls...well though...that is somewhat reminiscent of a spindrift! Thank you for the comment!
Not everyone can agree with the same likes and dislikes; the mood of the song helps to symbolize the aura of a spindrift...just my opinion though. You should Google "spindrift"...it may help explain the mood of the song. Thanks for your comment!
Great song, felt like listening to some rush since its been a while. Now I'v been listening to em nonstop all week. Gotta love the lyrics.
