@sirbeansalot100 Nothing too fancy, but a quad-core CPU setup. GFX is pretty good, since it's a 6950. Not even over-driven, and this is one of the models where I cannot unlock the shaders to make it a 6970.
That said... Skyrim is HORRIBLY messed up for efficiency due to the game engine (Gamebryo modified), doesn't work well for more than 2 processors (and even then, it's inefficient)... and b/c it was developed for consoles, it shunts a lot of duty to the CPU instead of GPU!
@greytale I agree I have a 6870 and I find it pretty poorly optimized with a lot of micro stuttering. I have an amd processer though so that could be part of it
@sirbeansalot100 I doubt that it SHOULD have much to do with it... other than the fact that... well, CONSOLES tend to shunt a lot of work to the CPU... but for PC games... 95% or more of the work is almost always done by the GPU.
Vanilla versions of Skyrim use the CPU (or CPUs) quite a bit. Waaaay too much, lol. Bad porting work--or a hurried port.
Anyhow... check out skyrimnexus for some sweet GFX updates, fixes, patches, and generally awesome stuff!
Really Nova another body stuck in a door lol. I'm still meaning to pick this game up. My friends are saying they're going to find me a put an arrow through my knee if I don't get the game. Even though I'm a master archer they want to make me take an arrow to the knee lol.
Keep posting these glitches cause they're so funny! How's everything going over there Nova?
