And in God of War 1, Ares simply threw that log with all his power and caught him off guard, but again, he wasn't killed in a fight. He's never been killed in a fight. He's way too tough.

@o0oDanthanho0o actually, they explained it in GOW 3 that Pandora's box did affect the gods and corrupted them (maybe humans too, but definitely the gods). Zeus was affected by fear and therefore wanted Kratos dead because he feared he would turn against him, like he had done against his own father. This is explained in one of the scenes with the smith god, Hephaestus. You can probably watch it on Youtube.

According to the book, God want to revenge the human so he order Hephaestus to create Pandora (the first woman and the weakness of the men), then he put fearness, greedy, (bad things...) in to a box, it looks like a vase.. and give it to pandora and tell her not to open. Then Zues give her the "Curiosty" trait. He understand she will open it later and she is. Btw, is this game available on ps2?
