This is great music, I like that project very much! They play music not only about Aztecas, but as well about Mayas and Inkas, so why this offense about Mayan pyramids? It's just there are more Mayan architecture still standing and it's more famous so they choose to show it in the video.

When the spanish rebuild the city they dry the lake slowly to have land to build new edifications. After some decades the lake was reduced. Actually there are three little lakes where one time was one grat lake: Chapultepec in the center of the MExico city, Xochimilco lake at the south and Texcoco lake at the north. There is the lake city project: to fill with water dry empty zones and to build an airport, and hotels as islands in the center. It would rescue a big part of the original lake.

Y acerca de la musica, es Doom Metal, pero a la vez cae en Prehispanic Metal, Mesoamerican Folk Metal, ó Ethno Metal, para esto te recomiendo que compares las diferencias del Folk Metal europeo al mesoamericano; como ejemplo escucha a Son Iok de México y a Bathory de Suiza.
