@rayray98illy Yes, but you should get any phone but this one. There are much better phones since this video was made over a year ago. In the same price range I would recommend the LG Optimus V, LG Optimus Slider, or the HTC Wildfire S (All of these are Virgin Mobile handsets)

@nerdpunk891 Absolutely. The Intercept could have been a great phone if Samsung hadn't cripped it with half of the RAM it should have had. An Android device should have a minimum of 512MB RAM for the OS to run smoothly and thusly provide a smooth user experience. As a result of this single poor decision the Intercept became a real pain to use and enjoy. It was a real shame since the slide-out keyboard is fantastic.

@562darkknight LauncherPro and Beautiful Widgets... but if you haven't purchased a phone yet I highly advise you to go with the LG Optimus V instead. It's a better phone so long as you can do without a slide out keyboard. Runs smoother, runs Froyo (Android 2.2 out of the box), and has a better screen.

@fatalist1 You pay $25 a month for 300 minutes with unlimited (5GB) data. If you forget to pay your service will be suspended and you will have 90 days to renew before your account is closed and your phone number is lost. If that happens you can just re-open an account and re-activate the phone and you'll get a new number.

@fatalist1 Virgin mobile IS pay as you go. Unless something has changed you do not need a credit card to get service - you can pay your balance only using top-up cards (bought at the store) if you want. The only time you would need a CC is if you opt to have your account automatically renewed every month.

@JaceXL I could, but my best advice would be not to do ANYTHING to your phone until the update to Froyo (Android 2.2) comes out. It should be pushed out sometime in the next 7-10 days... you'll know because you will get a notification text message from Virgin Mobile. Froyo will be a game changer for the Intercept, Froyo runs WAY smoother and boots WAY faster on the Intercept and is far less buggy.

@SWAGGERboy194 Yes, in my opinion it would be a downgrade... unless you need and want a slide-out keyboard. The Optimus has double the RAM that the Intercept has which makes it run MUCH smoother, and the Optimus has a higher resolution screen which is compatible with lots more apps and games. The Optimus also runs FroYo (Android 2.2) which is smoother, faster, and more stable and also has built in apps2sd (lets you run apps from an SD card rather than the phones memory)...

@olieo57 Actually yes, sometimes the notification bar 'sticks' and won't pull down. It's a software glitch that only happens occasionally and can be fixed by restarting the phone (power off, power on).  This will be fixed when FroYo (Android 2.2) is released for the phone on or about March 25th, 2011.

@Sayian505 That would be the awesome Canon Powershot SX20 IS, it has actually been superceded by the newer Canon Powershot SX30 IS. I have had the camera for a little over 1 year and it has never let me down. Fantastic photos and as you can see amazing high definition video.

@NightmareVictoria It's been awhile since I did this video so I don't remember 100% for sure, but the main widget I reccomended and showed off is 'Beautiful Widgets' which is amazing and available in the Android Market.  I also replaced the Android Launcher with 'Launcher Pro' which is also available for free in the market. You will also need an app called 'Home Switcher' to help make the chance to Launcher Pro.

@AndresBarrios1990 As of yet there is no way to run Flash on the Samsung Intercept. There is a work in progress on a plugin version for Android 2.1 for the Intercept but as of yet only a few people have been able to get it to work.
