I agree totally with MrNosrebor. Seriously, sounds these days, they replace their beautiful sounds with their amplifiers and volume. Try listening to Ke$ha or LMFAO on low volume, it sounds horrid. But somehow it sounds better when its very loud and very loud isn't good for you.
@xXJustDifferentXx I know you had the best intentions while writing this, but you sound extremely annoying and lazy. Don't give up on your generation, if you hate it so much try to change it, if johnny cash could be one of the most influential and successful artists of all time, just imagine what you could do now.
@dman4987 No matter how hard you try you cant get people to see things through your eyes. Johnny Cash was liked, and he knew what he had to do. I'm just the 15 year old girl that gets pushed down the stairs.
You Can't be great if you are struggling just to survive. And so many people believe what you said And the chances are some where about .1 in 1 million. Look around you... look at my generation, I don't know about you but i see no hope in these people.
Johnny Cash is an Immortal in the Music World. I don't care if people don't like his music, they don't have to like his music. Those of us that DO like his music, though, know his legendary status was well earned. If younger generations like mine are still buying his Album, then it really says something about his talent
cash seems to be really famous and yet i don't know any of his songs. i would have expected my parents to introduce me to his music if it's so classic.
@TheJayman213 They should have. Check out Folsom Prison Blues and Ring of Fire first, if you don't already know them, and get a copy of the 'Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison' album (pretty cheap in most places). I don't think you'll regret it.
One of the LAST things he did before he died was sending the tracklist to Rick Rubin, he really finished the album just before he died.
Now Marshall Grant is gone, he is (was) the last living member of the Tennessee Two, what a shame, they are all gone now, there will NEVER be anyone like them again
R.I.P. JR, Luther and Marshall, god bless and thanks for all the music you guys gave us
@erinXtra Who the fuck gives a shit when you were born? Music is obviously for everyone, and everyone should be allowed to listen whatever they want. The age does not matter.
@Rambokala i agree, but there is an order to things, if you have no categories/expectations at all, you could not have popular movements/music, just unlimited variety and potential social disorganization.
I'm becoming ashamed of my generation... Well atleast my childhood wasnt so sad as children's nowadays... Theirs can be defined by a few words - internet, (mostly) crappy music, modified food, iphones >.< When I listen to Johnny or other legends I wanna shout to the world WAKE THE HELL UP!!! Man they had great actors, great musicians, great food, they've putted their mind and soul to what they did and so they lived more peacefully than we now!
John, I never met you long enough for a cup of coffee, but I did see you play a few cherished times with June Carter. I can tell you and the world, while I have loads of your music, I will now miss the impact of how your newest music actually rips my heart out and says, "this is your heart.......your soul.....your life........I show it to you because it is what you need to see for yourself, that I deliver what is pure in me, of me, by me, to you...to help you." I will carry you on my shoulder.

@SharliexCheen maybe you dont classify yourself as a redneck because you dont think it is classy but cash will forever be classified as a country music singer such as waylon jennings.generally when people hear of johnny cash, they think of rednecks
@Hunterman841 I'm far from classy, so don't try to categorize me as a stuck up fool. Just because he's a country singer does not mean he was a redneck. There's a big difference between being from the country and being a redneck. "Redneck" is most commonly used as a derogatory slang term such as cracker, or hillbilly. Maybe Johnny Cash is the music that a lot "rednecks" listen to, but no, Johnny Cash himself was not a redneck. I'm being too literal, I know that what I said isn't what you meant,
@SharliexCheen I never said that cash was a redneck. i completley agree that he wasnt. also, rednecks are not hillbillys. there is a difference. rednecks have guns, trucks, are generally christian, they hunt and fish and make an honest living. hillbillys are the crazy fucks in deliverance. now i can tell you are female or gay from your stoburn arguement so i wont flip a shit on you. we just had a misunderstanding
@Hunterman841 but I just don't like that word. I know that you were talking about the connotation, not the actual meaning, so what I said really wasn't needed. But as I said before, I don't like that word.
@SharliexCheen well i apologize. I guess it can have different meanungs to different people because i am not a racist and was taught by the bible not to be prideful. Please excuse any of my rudeness
@Hunterman841 Rednecks are usually used in the same context as hillibillys. The rednecks I know, and have had to deal with all of my life are pridefull, ignorant, racist s.o.b's. Rednecks mean different things to different people with different experiences and lifestyles.

u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to be saved
i used to listen to heavy metal.... i listen rock now... but i always liked johnny... he gaved his soul into his songs and that's something to admire, thank you johnny! :D

u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to be saved

I hate how people talk a certain way, and talk about something just to get likes on their comments. You don't win an award for getting likes.
