  • There might be some little value in what Schafley is saying here, but let us suppose Schafley needed extensive surgery? Would he pay cash to the hospital and the surgeons? I doubt that even Schafley has that kind of money. And then there are those of us who have to visit the doctor(s) every month, and purchase numerous drugs. Many cutting-edge medications are prohibitly expensive, and would break the banks of those who need them most. ☺

  • a friend of mine came up with a brilliant solution, assuming people have life jackets, throw overboard not the weakest, but the strongest, ie those who are most likely to survive without the lifeboat. A strong healthy male with all his faculties can live longest without food and can tread water for longer than anyone else, thus increasing the probability of being saved by for example a helicopter going over.
