  • Not to be stingy or suggest that this was anything shy of spectacular, but I counted 6 not including the soutenu at the end.

  • this is why ballet dancers are the best turners.

  • and i was so happy that i did 3 triples today

  • i still get the chills after she does the 7 pirouettes even after the 1000th time watching this

  • what is the name of the first song?anyone know..love this!!!(:

  • @sweetyoyies The first section is from the ballet ''The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude'. The music is from the 4th movement of Schubert's 9th symphony.

  • @TechniCT Thanks, I was wondering where that music came from!

  • One word: PERFECT!!!

  • This piece of The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude is stunning. Where did you find it? I assume it was performed at Het Muziektheater in Amsterdam. I contacted the theater to see if the performance was available but received a reply that it was not. I would really appreciate any help you can offer in finding video of this performance for sell.

  • Wow.

  • @DancerrChick They do need to be lean though if they want to be professionals in a company.

  • que garota maravilhosa !

    o que são essas 7 piruetas *-*

  • Nothing but muscle in those legs

  • sick skills

  • amazing ^_^

  • what is the name of the first ballet?! it looks amazing! are there more clips from that ballet on youtube?

  • the vertiginous trill of exactitude!

  • I can't stand watching this, she is so amazing!!!

  • I'm obsessed with Sofiane. Seeing her perform live is one of those things I just have to do before I die. My favorite moment in this vid is when she cracks a smile while doing the chaines because she knows she just nailed the last bit.

  • who cares, babe? is there anything more beautiful than ballet?

  • What's your point?

  • awesome arms and hands while performing the vertiginous thrill of exactitude :)

  • Wow...I really like her. Never heard of her till now.

  • isnt she a principle with dutch national ballet?

  • she left a few years ago for NYCB and now dances with SFB

  • thats great,i saw her when they toured to london.she is phenominal, and will suit sfb much more then nycb

  • She was a natural for NYCB choreography as well though, actually (notice the speed in her Forsythe work here); she was a guest artist there and is also a guest at SFB, is essentially a freelance dancer.

  • its quite hard being a freelance dancer

    im surprised to hear that

but i guess its alright for some, traveling the world and just guesting where ever they like :)

  • She's not a guest at SFB anymore, she joined the company as a principle last year :)

  • champ.

  • omigod i saw her teach class at san francisco ballet school she is beautiful

  • i wonder what wouldve happened to her career if she had risen up the ranks of POB instead...although the famous story is that she rejected Claude Bessy's invitation to attend the POB school 3 times! rejecting MADAME BESSY in itself is like WOW!!! =)

  • My friend is in her ballet class every morning for two hours.

  • I met her!!!! I got her autograph when she was a guest star with the hong kong ballet! she's gorgeous!

  • I Love u Darling!!!!

  • who's the composer of the ballet with yellow tutu? someone told me it was frank schubert. but I can't find that exact ballet music anywhere. what's the name of that piece?

  • Franz Schubert: Symphony No.9 in C major (I think it's the last movement)

  • I look it on itunes and under Symph. No. 9 there were like 4 variations...I dont know which one is the right one.

  • most likely the fourth movement

  • She is an exquisite dancer. The last scene was from The Nutcracker by The Dutch Ballet. One of my favorite variants from The Nutcracker.

  • she's amazing!!!

  • She's amazing! And it seems so easy when she does it!

  • she is amazing. but i don't like the first tutu. the second one is prettier

  • Incase you don't know, like I didn't, Sofiane is a Principle Ballerina with the New York City Ballet. She was born in France, and danced with the Ballet Karlsruhe is Germaany, and the Netherlands National Ballet before coming to NYC.

  • wow wow wow wow wow!!

  • good~ i loven' it~

  • Ok, quadruple attitude derriere pirouette followed by eight en dehors pirouettes!!! Need anyhting else be said?!?!

  • Triple Attitude Derriere piroutte followed by six en dehors pirouettes, counting was a little off

  • haha, i counted quickly and only once, and i neglected to count her head spot (the surest way of counting turns!)...but i checked twice this time and she does a triple attitude derriere followed by seven en dehors pirouettes. still rather impressive--you can't argue with that!

  • Absolutely NOT! She is amazing, very rare talent

  • Echoes of Anna Pavlova - so good! I just love her!

  • Reminds me of Pavlova...lighter than air!

  • Totalmentii fantastic!!! =)

Melhor bailarina q eu jah viih!!

  • shes so beautiful! its inspiring!

  • this is inspiring!

  • She's jus fabulous.
