  • where do u get these patches

  • @InvASIANN I buy them at flea markets, online, yardsales, and public sales. Do you collect also?

  • it was used in

  • @kjwarbrothers it was used in?

  • willing to sell any bro? i love military chevrons and collect military jackets to put them on!!

  • @noble381297 I guess some could be but I'm honestly not sure what things are going for anymore the last year I have been too out of the loop with real life military things going on in my life to keep up.

  • @noble381297 So do I!! But you should not sew old patches on any uniform or take patches off of uniforms, it destroys the history of what was with the original uniform.

  • @cryflame what are they worth i have so many I have through the years from different units to my ocs stuff

  • @dogdtwo what is what worth, which patches. because different once have different values

  • i want to collect but Im not sure where to start....also i dont wunt to spend a ton either

  • @smithbrosvideo15 Well I have to say that the best way to start is looking into what the patches looked like during certain eras and getting guides on how to tell what patches are fakes. After you are a little rehearsed on the way to identify patches and repoductins then I would say go to some local yardsales and flea markets, those are the best areas I have found to find quality patches, uniforms, weapons, and other military memerobelia. ust avoid online sales! People will take advantage of you

  • @smithbrosvideo15 Well a simple recommendation would be to go to local public sales, yardsales, and antiques shops. After you have established a collection and want to go into some of the higher end collecting I know a few reputable websites.

  • nice collection.im 19 and have 400 usaf squadron patches ive been collecting since i was 8..cool!

  • @CasperAirsoft Thats cool, I recommend that you go to flea markets and yard sales rather than the surplus store if you are going to get into collecting, you are more likely to find quality items and cheaper than any store could offer. I have been collecting for the last 15 years now and I have noticed that things are getting harder to come by and more expensive in the last 5 years.

  • oh and also if it ist velcro i might not take it

  • @airsoftairbornteam It's not velcro and not for sale

  • how much would you take for the dark US ARMY patch? the one by farmer

  • how much would you take for the dark US ARMY patch?

  • Thats a Big Red One patch there AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A NICE ONE LIKE THA. And also thats a very nice Cavalry patch you got.

  • @reyssoda Lol, I think you would rather have an earlier one. The particular 1st Infantry Division patch here is actually from Vietnam so much later than the WWII ones. But I do have several of the 1st Cavalry patches, although those are also Vietnam vintage.

  • Comment removed

  • @cryflame Are you willing to trade for them?

  • @reyssoda You want a Vietnam vintage 1st Infantry Division and 1st Cavalry Division patch?

Yes I would be willing to trade them, but depending on what you have and if you pay shipping.

  • @cryflame ill pay shipping.

  • @reyssoda Well do you have anything you are willing to trade? Or would you just buy them?

  • @cryflame I'm just beggining to collect so i'd rather buy.

  • 28th ID OD Border used in WWII and Korea era.

  • @townley1950 Thanks got the answer a couple of months ago, its a greenback I've got 4 of them now in basically mint condition along with quite a few other period patches.

  • Nice collection. Question for ya! How do you store your patches? I hear that cotton materials tend to degrade over time, so I was wondering if there was a specific way you stored them to help preservation? Thanks..

  • @100trueneutral I would certainly believe this, but I currently do not have a special means of storing them at this time, for lack of funding for a humidity and temperature controlled case haha. Right at the moment I have them in just several glass display cases throughout my house.

  • @100trueneutral I have always stored my rare or valuable material items in heavy duty (100 micron + ) plastic heatsealed bags.

  • cool collection i have one myself

  • yah my aunt said it is hot there the guy that was in the 10 mountain said when he was there in kuwait his were dry for like a week

  • your still in the military my aunt lives in kuwait i know a guy that was in the the 10 moutain division he gave me his acus with the patches good luck in kuwait

  • @SurplusCharlie Well that's cool, yeah all I know about Kuwait is that its extremely hot and not really a place that Id like to be, honestly I would rather put in paperwork to transfer to a unit that is going to afghanistan

  • nice patches

  • @SurplusCharlie Thank you, I have many other items in my military collection, but now I do not have time to upload any videos because of I am preparing for mobilization to Kuwait at the moment. Perhaps when I return home.
