I am 22 now and i honestly don't remember a day without RENT. It came out when i was nine years old so i feel i have grown up with RENT and it was always there. Now that its not on the great white way, it feels like a big part of my childhood closed. Thank god for revivals

This was broadcasted on the news sometime in March of 2008. This was uploaded on the 2nd. They extended the performances to September 7th, and then they had their final broadway tour.

RENT IS MY LIFE! I was born the day it opened in broadway! As i was being born My sister (17 at the time) was watching it as i was being born! I LOVE RENT! I cried through this video and i saw the tour and cried throughout the whole production. Rent lives on in Junior broadway productions! I play Maureen in one.Its soo fun. This wont be the last production juniors do. but remember,

no day but today.

this is messed up-- Phantom of the Opera has been running since 1976 (for 32 years) and is and yet, Rent, one of, if not THE best Broadway musical of all time is closing after only 12 years!

I'm confused. This video was added June 2, and he says it closes on Broadway June 1 "of this year", but i'm seeing it on broadway this Tuesday - July 15.
