  • source for last statement google Burckhardt Hitler meeting 8/11/1939

  • 'Everything I undertake is directed against Russia. If the West is too stupid and too blind to comprehend this I will be forced to reach an understanding with the Russians, turn and strike the West, and then after their defeat turn back against the Soviet Union with my collected strength. I need the Ukraine and with that no one can starve us out as they did in the last war.'". AH Aug.11 1939

  • ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK , ATTACK !!!!!!

  • Where did they get all of those He-111's. Surely most have to be models

  • "We're not easily frightened. Also we know how hard it is for an army to cross The Channel. The last little corporal who tried came a cropper." Well said, sir.

  • @4:56 "Their (the American) embassy in London gives you two weeks." That would have been Joe Kennedy, an appeasing SOB who should have been arrested.

  • If the project of - Focke-Wulf Fw 187 was completed, Heinekls would be supported by heavy fighters, and Spits could lose. Thank God they didn't. Other way My name today would be Johan or Hans :P

  • smug little crappers that the nazi's were no wonder why they got their asses handed to them, they didn't know what a true fight was until they started getting their asses handed to them

  • "Europe is ours! We can walk into Britain whenever we like!" Meanwhile, back in reality.......

  • Who are these two in the car? Kesselring and who else? Galland?

  • @NobleKorhedron its Kesselring and Göring i guess

  • @HoPFeNTeE No, you see Goring later. It's either Hugo Sperle or Erhard Milch.

  • @TrueFinn1. G's didn't have strategic AirForce?? The Luftwaffe had sophisticated Air-Combat-Tactics. One quiet example: The Moelders 4 finger formation. I think, the most problem they had are, Radar and Daytime-bombing without hunters support.

  • @ElFlyn84: They needed a better fighter, or else they should've developed drop-tanks for the 109. Thanks God they didn't or most of continental Europe would still be under the Nazi jackboot - probably worn by Hitler's grandson!!

  • 1. British radar stations in Southern England 2. Daylite raids on England 3.The will of the RAF Fighter Command

  • There was only three reasons why Luftwaffe lost Battle of Britain:

    1. Germany didn`t have strategic air force.

    2. Small range of Messerschimt Me 109

    3. British radar stations in Southern England.

  • @TrueFinn1 You missed out reason number 4 why the Luftwaffe didn't win......................ACHTUNG SPITFEUR!

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH you know that the Hurricane was used in greater numbers than the Spitfire right?!

  • @DenverYellowStone Yes thank you- I am well aware that the Hurricane was used in great numbers, & that it accounted for two-thirds of the kill total. The point is, the Spitfire had a huge psychological effect on the Luftwaffe. Many German pilots insisted that a Spitfire shot them down, when clearly it had been a Hurricane. I wonder why that was? Could it be that the Germans recognised the Spitfire as being at least equal to the Me 109, they did not believe the Hurri to be so.

  • @TrueFinn1 these are all insignificant when compared to the REAL REASON. The willingness to sacrifice and the skill of the Royal Air Force and the British Allies along with the British colonials who would NOT SUBMIT to the slavery that is facist nazism!

  • Luftwaffe FTW! :D

  • they have at Adolf Galland as advisor??? what a privilege one of the greatest pilots of WWII

  • And to think today the UK is almost as fascistic and tyrannical as their Third Reich foes were 70 years ago.

  • @FORMETOKNOWONLY

    what do you mean?

  • 6:43 "It's unforgivable. I lost my temper."

    LOL So British....

  • 6 people had their hurricanes destroyed in France at the beginning of the movie.

  • @chrisrogerrabbit

Bad luck old chap. Better luck next time.

  • Find it ironic that the title music (Luftwaffe March, later renamed 'Aces High') was written for the film by Ron Goodwin and as actually BETTER than most of the genuine Nazi era marches (The Horst Wesler for example)!!! Couldn't beat US and couldn't even write a decent march!! Ha ha!

  • the ambassadors meeting reminds me of "300"

like Leonidas and the black (?) Persian ambassador

    "THIS...IS...ENGLAND!!!" xD

  • I love the way the Nazis chose to look evil on top of being evil. Let's wear black and a grim looking skull and crossbones along with a hooked cross.

  • Heil to General Gallan and the Luftwaffe the greatest Aces of them all!!!

  • i thought there was no motorcycle....but is the motorcycle first developed in europe?

  • wow, Galland was a technical advisor for the Luftwaffe parts.

  • @InkyNibIllustrations yes he was, he was very arrogant and upset a BoB pilot over a point about a scene in the film where a Luftwaffe officer gave a Nazi salute, Galland said that never happened but was proved wrong, he also threatened to leave the production. I think Galland was a bitter man.

  • well at least there's one movie where germans don't speak english with a german accent : )

  • WHAT´S THE NAME OF THE FIRST SONG PLAYED RIGHT AT THE START OF THIS VIDEO?

  • @AAFAN3 The Lufwaffe March

  • @AAFAN3 The name of the song is the High ace march, Better known as the Luftwaffe march, But it is not a German march, People just think it is.

  • @StormriftonROBLOX in fact it was originally called the Luftwaffe March (and written for the film). But bandleaders wanted to be able to play the piece at military parades, memorial events etc., whereas playing the "Luftwaffe March" wouldn't go down too well; so the composer (Ron Goodwin) agreed to re-title it "Aces High". It's interesting incidentally how the titles credit the score to Sir William Walton but in fact the only part of his score used in the final cut is The Battle In The Air.

  • You can teach...MONKEYS to fly better than that! :D

I've seen this movie more times than I can remember and that bit still makes me laugh

  • "were on our own, were playing for time, and its running out!"

  • 4 dislikes wanted to walk up whitehall

  • 5:32-6:14 classic, English were never bullied

  • Gotta love those crazy germans. When will they ever learn. Each time I watch this I wonder.

  • Three people are nazis

  • England was the world's only hope to stand against the Nazi menace. Hitler totally underestimated The will of the british people's will to fight on and their leader, Winston Churchill. He made it clear to Hitler that they will fight on the beaches, the fields, towns, cities-"we will never surrender!" The battle of Britain proved it.

  • The Heinkel 111s used in this movie are Spanish-built models. Spain built this plane, as well as the ME-109 under license for years, and used them long after WWII was over. Ironically, they used Rolls-Royce Merlins. If you Google images of German built 111s, and the Spanish versions--you can see the difference in the engines.

  • im not english but the only westen european nation that put up a fight agaisnt the nazis ( gertmmans ] was england. if you read your history there was no real facists in england . they fort for there freedom but also everyone one else who didnt wont to exterminate jews gypsys and everyone else . if england didnt stand and fight hitler would have had got his bomb and we would all be f...cked

  • Don't threaten or dictate to us until you're marching up Whitehall, and even then we won't listen!

    Greatest line ever.

  • 7:10 164 Argentine British Squadron

    "firmes volamos"

  • Its ALL about the German Lufftwaffe :) they rulled ALL skies :D

  • Funny how the British ignore the next Hitler, Ahmadinejad.

  • @1czechit1 I dont see him invading another country, while USA is now in Afghanistan after pulling out of Iraq who's invading who??

  • Are there any Ju 88s and Me 110s featured in this film?

  • @MusikAndLuv No I didn't see any of those types. Just mainly He-111's, Ju-87 Stukas, and Me-109's for the Germain Air Force

  • 5-56 'not easily frightened; goosebumps time. Battle of Britain most important battle of the war.

  • when britain stood alone against the whole of occupied europe :')

    Rule Britainia

  • just love that part 4:56-7:00 as an Englishman it makes the hair on the back of my stand up!

  • 2:47 4th officer to the left O_O bends*

  • If i was Churchill, I would tell Hitler to take that swastika and shove it up his nazi ass!!! Bring it on!!! We will shoot down every German bomber and fighter that crosses the channel and stop any invasion they threw at England. Stop them in their tracks!!! And they did.

  • "Undercariage lever a bit sticky was it?!?" Well I wouldn`t tell the CO if I was you...

  • Are there any americans out there who have watched this? the whole movie does show great british resiliance i think..... even though reconstructions and mere films can't encapsualate the struggle my grandfathers endured. my grandad on my mother's side was a hurricane pilot and my grandad on my father's side was a spitfire pilot. They both survived the battle of britain and one died in Stalingrad. I have alot of respect for that generation. truth, justice and freedom.

  • @SkinNplum Yes, SkinNplum. I'm an American. I have been a student of the air war in Europe since I was a child. I'm 59 now. I have studied the Battle of Britain extensively and everything you say is true. The British showed an indominatable spirit during that dark time, not only the RAF but the British people as a whole. To overcome the odds you faced was nothing less that remarkable. My dad was a ball turret gunner in B-17's which is why I became interested. Well done, England. Salute.

  • @Rikki0 Wow, a descent yank, i didn't know they existed :O

  • @greatestmanalive812 Yea their are some good ones out there that want to learn the truth of the battles that took place in Europe.

  • @greatestmanalive812 Actually they exist, in fact if it wasn't for the yank all britain would be under german flag.

  • @nicodume keep telling yourself that

  • @greatestmanalive812 Come on, you knew it and it kills you.

  • @nicodume Woaaaaah, fuck right off. You came in over halfway through.

Jesus, English may be calm and placid about most things, but if you want to insult our pride like that, i advise you read up on you're history and then go hang yourself off something tall.

  • @JonoTBH Yes, I know I'm right you just keep preciating the yanks for save you from the conquest.

  • @nicodume Yeah, you keep thinking that, you're wrong, theres Americans on these videos who admit the Yanks didn't help. Get off you're fat arse, stop stealing the McDonalds free Wi-fi, and get researching you're history, you over inflated ego cunt.

  • @JonoTBH Bullshit, 2 million AMERICAN soldiers in D-day, plus all the paratroopers and the USAAF fighters and bombers not mention all supplies the brit receive from their yanks mates, it would have been interesting seen the UK without all that help.

  • @nicodume

If you noticed, they'd given up on the invasion of Britain at that point, you're argument is too one sided for you to realise what a complere cunt you're making of yourself, you're now calling Britain cowards, along with the US, and Russia, jesus, get you're prioritys rights. You came in and helped with the INVASION OF FRANCE, not the defence of England. You obviously are such a retard you can't understand history. Fuck off.

  • @JonoTBH You're a little bit tense hahaha what's going on? you can't face the facts? That's right the invasion of France, such a great succesful movement was possible cause of the yanks. If Germany wouldn't had 2 fronts, after the russian, you brits surely had been next.

By the way I wasn't talking only about the battle of britain I meane the entire war.

I know it's hard for you always being in second place after the US but there's no reason to insult me.

  • @nicodume You're obviously too dumb to actualy realise the shit you're spounting, no-one came 'First' in the war, you claiming that has just proved how little you truly know. You keep refering Britain getting invaded, but the Yanks didn't help with that, when the BRITISH won the BATTLE OF BRITAIN Hitler gave up on his invasion attempts of England. AFTER THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN, The US Cruise ship was sunk, and the US Joined the war. If you where clever enough to say "The Yanks helped win the war"

  • @nicodume *Continued from my last reply* I wouldn't have minded, but the fact you have the stupidity to claim that the Yanks won the entire war, stopped Britain getting invaded, when they actually joined a long time after the Invasion of Britain was called off. As for claiming the Yanks made the invasion of France possible, Yes they helped, but it wasn't them alone, stop trying to take credit from the millions of non US soldiers that died. Ignorant cunt.

  • @JonoTBH Stop fucking around with the battle of britain, how old are you? you can't even understand my point. You're trying to beat me by insulting hahaha nevermind.

  • @nicodume I'm 17 mate, fresh out of History lessons, i understand you're point about the Yanks helping, you're also making the point that without the Yanks, the world would be German, which is incorrect. You're also making the point that the Yanks won the war by themselves, wrong. I'l accept the Yanks helped lots when they entered, but i won't accept Yanks like you claiming that they won the entire war.

  • @nicodume Dude The D-day forces where made up of 50% of British forces and the other 50% where made up from another 4 countries. 2 million my ass.

The Royal Navy made the landings possible British inventors helped the crossing my blowing up water mines, Like it said in the Video America believed the UK would fall when the battle of Britain started. We won and then you decided to come over once japan attacked. Without the UK the war wouldve been lost in Europe. Not America. Go read a history book

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl . The Soviets won the war in Europe. On D-Day, 87,600 Americans were landed and parachuted in Normandy, while 61,700 were British. I don't believe it matters anyway, but 50% were not British, they were made up of Britain's colonial empire, 83,000.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl To make it clear, American law forbids the President from declaring war without a justification and an actoof Congress, and there was not a reason until Germany declared war on the US and Japan attacked. Roosevelt had to nearly break the law to even give Britain aid in supplies. The US had no reason to declare war on Germany until there was one, and the US need not be morally pressued by the British, because it was Britain who declared war on Germany.

  • @naltrexone23X I know im just saying America did not save us doing the battle of Britain like a majority of Americans believe and it just pisses me off

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl yeah i know what you mean mate.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl Try not to put other people down, it requires more than just reading a book to have an understanding of history. You have to know how to think objectively, and interpret the information in a book so as not to fall victim to the biases present in most books.

  • @naltrexone23X Well i hear the dam thing every where and it gets annoying.

Also i just wanna say 50% of the D-day forces where British soldiers, and the other 50% where split between the other nations.

America had the biggest parachute regiment which accounted for the 83 thousand soldiers you where on about.

Storming the beaches Britain had the most troops coming from the Air USA has the most. Thats even on wikipedia if you want to check help yourself.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl Storming the Beaches British troops made up 61000 of the force, while US troops were about 73,000. I have multiple sources, including wikipedia if you want it.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl Britain went to war to protect and defend Poland, but in reality she went to war to fight Germany. Britain hadn't a single reason to go to war with Germany in 1939, Germany at the time had done nothing either France or Britain had done to build their empires. Britain and France went to war based on prejudices, false beliefs from the last war, the largest one being that Germany was responsible for the war and the havoc wroke upon the men of both sides.

  • @naltrexone23X Britain didn't go to war to defend poland? Are you kidding me?

Germnay signed a treaty and hitler decided to ignore that and france and britain desprete to avoid a war let hitler regain the lost land and britain tried to prevent expansion by saying they would protect poland.

Seeing this as a bluff hitler invaded poland so Britain declared war. Where the hell did you learn your history because your teacher needs a slap

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl The British went to war using the defence of Poland as an excuse. Poland Started the war under one dictator, Hitler, and ended it under another, Stalin. Ive moved passed the basic facts and dates and I question them. Nothing is as it appears on the surface.

  • @ViDeOMaStErPaUl spot on....i know.....i teach history. appeasement had failed to curtail hitler's expansionism....so britain hoped to bluff hitler by offereing guarentees to poland...the poles used this to both defy and stall hitler over danzig. but as any historian worth his salt knows hitler wanted war...unfortuantely he got the war he did not want. he'd have prefered allying with britain and destroying french hegemony...and of course acquiring lebensraum in the east.

  • @nicodume Read this sexual little historical rant, then shut the fuck up.

"And for your information and everyone elses , america did not save any one in world war 2, it was russia, they had the greatest losses and gave the biggest help by attacking the germans from the east, sandwhiching them, the americans did not attack from the east..."

  • @JonoTBH hahaha don't try to excuse yourself with fake arguments.

  • @nicodume And FINALLY, i think you'll find when you joined, you came over, and we all attacked at the same time. When we won the battle of Britain, (I know, without the Americans?! HOW DID WE DO IT?) Hitler gave up on the Invasion of England, you then promptly came over, and joined in the Invasion force. Therefore, you're a historically incorrect cunt, and should be shot.

  • @JonoTBH I don't believe this person could be shot in your country.

You've all been disarmed and deballed long ago.

Are you bloody wankers ready for Sharia Law?

A Glock might help----the omnipresent cameras will not.

How the mighty have fallen---America shan't count on you Packy lovers in the next big one. Pathetic.

  • @JonoTBH How could you possibly more pathetic? that's even worse. The russians did it? END OF DISCUSSION.

    3 countries against 1 = cowardness

  • @nicodume Did you not watch the video or hear this line.

"The american embassy gives you 2 weeks" If the americans where involved would the ebassy have said that?

America didn't Britain would win and be invaded just like everybody else.

But being British means we put up a fight until our last breath and until we cannot fight anymore, Hitler would have to destroy every factory and every plane/ship and gun before they beat us same with everybody else.

  • @greatestmanalive812 Are you saying all Americans are indecent? Because I'm certainly descent.

  • @greatestmanalive812 Actually their are a lot of us. The only problem is that the idiots are the loudest.

  • @Rikki0 there's some nice words you said there friend, Thank you

  • @Rikki0 I agree. Hitler's did everything in his power to bring the people of England to their knees during the Battle of Britain and after, but failed like Napoleon did.

  • to bad there no subs but thanks for posting the vid anyway ive been looking for it for a while i heard it was a great classic.but i hope the germans to speak to much in the film.

  • thanks greatestmanalive812 its ok no problem buddy do that upload the english subtitles to the german side when they speak german do it as soon as possible thank agian greastestmanlive812 thanks for the upload of the movie brillant movie

  • @greatestmanalive812 First of all, every time you hear "XYZ, stillgestanden!" it means "Attention!" I'll just focus on the dialogues:

    2:29 Everyone out!

    2:34 Open the gate!

2:53 If I still have to look at one single bomber, I can't even recommend you for being promoted to Field Marshal, Kesselring.

2:57 Please, may I finish the inspection?

    3:00 Of course!

3:01 General, sir, I wish you a pleasant return journey!

3:19 The English are not our destined enemies, you've heard it yourself, Jeschonek.

  • @vxl788

3:24 This time, he isn't right. They're totally done, finished. We won't ever have a chance like that again. Rubbish!

3:33 You call that rubbish? It's a total catastrophe!

3:37 Herr (= Mr.) Baron von Richter, the Führer will now speak to you.

That's it for Part 2 - might translate the other parts as well if I find the time... thanks for the upload! Cheers from Germany! ;)

  • @vxl788 hey thanks for translating your info was helpful

  • @greatestmanalive812

    please do that.

  • @greatestmanalive812 can you also put English subtitles while they speak English

  • @greatestmanalive812 {1} This movie while one of my favorites that stir the heart & soul has always been curious to me, as there seems to be a number of versions with German subtitles, some more accurately translated into English than others. Hitler's speech concerning the bombing of Berlin by The RAF & his plans for retaliation is a case in point.

  • @greatestmanalive812 {2} Goring's translations leave a lot to be desired as well. Apart from that The Battle of Britain is a pretty accurate depiction of it's subject & makes one proud of these fellows & all associated with them !

  • @JohnAdams198805 unfortunately that was how the movie was made.

  • @JohnAdams198805 Just in case you're still interested - I just begun to translate the dialogues for parts 2 and 3 - more to come if I have some spare time at hand. ;)

  • @vxl788 yeah i am interested indeed mate

  • @JohnAdams198805 Wie kannst du kein deutsch sprechen? Ho-ho!

  • @JohnAdams198805 I will translate, it's all the same; Oh, Hans, I have no penis. Ja, me neither. Let's fly! OK. Want some weinerschnitzel? No, thanks. It reminds me of my missing penis.
