Why do people act as though Mandela has an obligation to save Africa from horrible leaders like Mugabe and Thabo Mbeki? The man has done enough, nothing he says in any speech-no matter how compelling-will do anything to significantly change the state of Zimbabwe, South Africa or any other nation. Obviously he condemns them; but why must a man who has had 27 years of his life robbed from him, who wants to stay out of politics, be obliged to condemn them openly? Let the man retire.
