I'm not usually a fan of Sumi Jo's English crossover stuff but I actually quite like this.
But I wish she would record more opera's rather than crossover/aria selections albums she has. Fingers crossed, one day I'll be able to have Sumi Jo's Traviata and Lucia in my cd rack!

Enchanting!!
Most of us create the things people need to live. Sumi Jo gives them a reason.

Isn't this the Minuet from Bach?

Yes, it's the menuet from "Notebüchlein für Anna Magdalena Bach".
This versjon (quicker) vas a hit in the mid 60's, with the Supremes (?).

I agree, this is actually decent.
Some of her lower notes are kind of odd sounding.
I hope to get a recording of her as Olympia. Like the full opera (Tales of Hoffman) not just a random aria... LOL!
Maybe she should do a really "FUNKY" song, maybe shell get more mainstream.
(LOL funky is sooo the wrong adjective. :P)

She has already recorded full Hoffman
conducted by Kent Nagano in 1996, Erato.
However, in that recording she performed
Giulieta not Olympa. Natalie Dessay did
it. And Roberto Alagna performed Hoffman.
I think you can find it internet such as Amazon, etc.
etc.
