Also... what persons "believe" they are saved? Isn't the entire point of dedication part of ones attempt to attain salvation? I don't think I've ever met a JW who claiming he or she was saved.

yes, he is twisting his situation to make witness people to sound horrible, there are always 2 sides to the story, maybe his family just doesn't want to talk to him, because of his negative behavior. a very one-sided story, i have seen family of disfellowshipped ones still talk to one another, still bring them to the meetings, and they learn from their mistakes, and humble themselves and join the congregation after they straighten their problems out.
I was wronfully dfed, by some elders that made a mistake and they said they couldnt change their mistake becuase of already sending a letter to the society, my father found out that i was dfed and had a stroke, my sister and mom blamed me for causing my fathers sttroke he died last year, and now i am pretty angry at the jw organization for teaching my family to not talk to me becuase i was dfed they wouldnot even hear me out and now i am living with nightmares of my dad, and guilt.

Huh? They hardly even talk about money, and we have to learn everything, if anything THAT's the criticism that we learn too much. Read the bible daily we hear again and again, 3 meetings a week constant Bible knowledge, and we have to have it because we go door to door. Perhaps I have missed the point..I have been inactive for 24 years..but I didn't leave because of past history.
Surely (brothers/sisters) you were baptised because you could see all the old dross being thrown out and worship defined and refined?
Surely you realise that those who would form the core,the WTBTS and IBSA GREW FROM a background of a religious mixed bag?
