  • who's watching in 2012?

  • The best music ever

  • I want it's vinyl :(

  • REST IN PARADISE

    MY LIL NEPHEW ANGEL

ALWAYS IN MY MIND, FOREVER IN MY HEART.

  • BLACK MAN STARTED IT AL

  • Dislikes? Must like Marvin Berry and the Starlighters version better.

  • i like the music from this time but who wants to deal with the racial issues i mean i probably would have like it better lookin back and just listening to good music just be cuz we are all young in this decade does not mean we have to listen to the music from it

  • Are you guys going to honestly pretend that this was a time of innocence? That's fucking hilarious. Do some research. Just because a pretty song was recorded during a certain time doesn't mean it was innocent and carefree. Try to watch less Leave it to Beaver.

  • @lieutenantlucas .. pretty much nailed it

  • Bless this song, it's the finest of the fine, Cleve Duncan could really sing, and of course the background is magnificent. Too bad they had so much trouble with their record companies.

Many groups were cheated and spent much time in court.

We were lucky to get to hear this and pretend that all was well for few minutes

    of this great song.

No other group or person comes close to singing this.

    Many thanks.

  • back to the future

  • you people suck

  • here's for all you lovers out there.....

  • i used to sing this to my girl, i miss her

  • Finally the original version! I like that... :)

Black groups both males n females ones were just great...half of the best music of those years is black, the other half is from white who grown up with black soul

  • @JakeJBlues

Its disillusioned statements like that, that are whats holding us back. All this music came from people. People are just a mask=persona, hiding what we really are, a collective, one, together. Stop seeing the world and the 'people' in it as separate. We are the same.

    Enjoy the music.

  • @theredcorbe Maybe it's disillusioned, but it's a fact: it's not a racist consideration that rock'n'roll is a "nephew" of soul music, n it's still a fact that soul music is "the" black music, as it's still a fact that most of the rocker/pre-rocker musicians of the 50's were black n the best rocker/musicians of the 50's knew very well soul music n grown up with that, so...i don't think i told something so weird.

  • @theredcorbe With Buddy Holly, Elvis n other like Johnny Cash we have a "bridge" between white n black music, so also white musicians starts playing that music, but before them that music was mostly black.

I only told that i love black groups of those years: why that might be disillusioned?

I love also Buddy Holly, i think he's a complete genius, but the video is of the penguins.

  • @theredcorbe Btw: black/soul music was PROHIBITED music to white just because it was made from black guys.

  • nowww lllllleeeeettttssss go baaack to the future!!!!!!

    :D

  • @max029 AH!! is this the 1980's again :p

  • i wanna give this song to my gurl, i love u so much. you are my angel and my soul. i am just a fool that i fell in love you. always and forever 10/7/11

  • Recorded in a garage studio in L.A. in October of 1954...Earth Angel became a big hit in early 1955..and one of the all time classics of rock'n'roll...

  • i love older music and im only 31 this song came out long before i ever was born and i love listening to oldies music

  • Vastly superior to the lame 'safe clean-cut white boy' covers. Yeah, I'm lookin' at you Bobby Vee.

  • Awwww ....just so beautiful......=)

  • I had just finished doing a year and 3 months in gatesville reformatory when this song came out. Brings back memories.

  • I had just finished doing a year and 3 months in gatesville reformatory when this song came out.

  • This is one of the first songs I ever remember back in the 50's along with Elvis' Hound Dog, Bill Haley and the Comets Rock around the Clock, and Twinkle litte star. The most phenomenal music one could have the pleasure listening to. Sad that the kids born later never had the opportunity to grow up listening to this.

  • this is what i called real music

  • Oh A♭ Major. :)

  • Music had so much feeling back then

  • I am 28 years old and I love the oldies....what's wrong with me? I'm supposed to like rap and hip hop yet I love R&B ranging fron Regina Belle, Etta James, Luther Vandross and Freddie Jackson. On top of that I like The Penguins, The Chi-lites and The Temptations.

  • @507papa rap and hip hop nowadays is a bunch of idiots sayin wat they can...rnb has real lyrics and meaning to their songs just like the oldies..its the generation..nothings wrng wit u

  • amo esa cancion

  • love the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and some of the 2000

  • love the 60's

  • love all those oldies but goodies!!!! thanks sis for taking me back in time!!!!!

  • Earth Angel & In the Still of the Night.. 50's greatest ever !!!

  • I am absolutly convinced that the damn Viet Nam war ruined this nation for a long long time, who ever got that bitch going should stand trial for treason then executed! I was at Ft Bragg with the green berets in 57 we sent 3 teams into laos as advisors?????

what a cover bulshit story, a war we were never intended to win-just keep it going for profit, when we discovered it in 68 we were already in the tube, we all tried to stop it but money wins and there was no going back to paradise, to late!!

  • I grew up in the best time in all human history, we were free and I mean free without pot and drugs, the songs were about love and people and your lady, your cars and american bandstand, school was great meeting place and plyground but we got out in one piece. We did like our parties though and we did party we had everything ahead of us, lots of future and space, lots of rivers to cross and mountains to climb. It was like fairytale I guess the gals were still a mystery but a good one.

  • @ravenwolf789 Until the British invasion, Vietnam, Flower Power, Woodstock, Led Zeppellin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple came along.

  • @VIDEOTKAMERICANISTA

Yes i agree the paradigm shifted and i saw the shift but it was so damn evil it wasnt apparent, infact I said that exact samething you just said, IT DID CHANGE AND WE ARE LIVING THAT CHANGE RIGHT NOW! it was great though while it was their dude and i would do it again in a heart beat how about you?

  • @ravenwolf789 I was born in the 60's but I was told about how nice it was growing up and living the american dream in post war America.

  • Penguins 1

    Temptations 0

  • FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would give up anything and everything to live in 1954...

  • this is real music... it doesnt get forgotten and "expire" a month after it is released, like todays music does. if you were to play "i love the way you lie" by rhiana infront of a class of grade 8's, they would likely complain and say omg this song is so old it sucks now. yet it was one of the top songs of 2010, less than a year ago!

  • best fukin music know to man

  • I will always love you Sarah.

  • The hardest part in life is loving a girl who does not love you back.

  • @controversyking Nothing wrong with Snoop Dogg, Snoop likes this music too! xD But yeah, i'd rather listen to this than all that BS new crap out in the 2000s, all it does is breed degenerates, criminals and drug addicts.

  • The hardest part in life is loving a girl who does not love you back.

  • they dont make songs like these anymore, and the most disappointing part? they can if they want too

  • Love this song aw c:

  • I love them oldies!

  • i wish music would go back to this slow true romantic music :)

  • these guys from the 50's have about 1,000,000,000 more talant than 98% of the anyone who sings music now.

  • Best music of all times! Before my time, but always my favorite!!!

  • i wished i lived in the 50's

  • I'm going to punch out 4 Biffs if they don't change their vote!

  • absolutely beautiful.

1954 - earth angel, will you be mine

1964 - i want to hold your hand

2004 - i wanna fuck you, you already know.

what happened to the sweet innocence of the world? haha

  • @ryder0792 lol

  • @ryder0792 Forgot 1984 - KEYTAR SOLO!!! Fuck love, let's dance!

  • @ryder0792 Sweet innocence of the world? Like Vietnam, Korea, racism, communist paranoia, Cold War annihilation, Ed Gein and segregation? That innocence of the world in 1950's and 1960's. Yeah, I don't know about you, but I'm glad it's gone...

  • @pconley22 today is pretty much the same without the little love that existed then

  • @ryder0792 It was always like that

  • @ryder0792 I agree too.... It's terrible to be born in this age. To be a romantic poet in a world of such loveless times in so depressing. It's almost like it's useless. I tried to sing this to a girl who I thought was different. Sadly, she called me too "Oldschool" And left. All because I never wanted to make love. *sighs* Sucks to be a highschool poet sir

  • @MrSlendermanxLove Wow sometimes you just have to man up.

  • @MrSlendermanxLove

I can see being old school because I am....but what guy in high school DOESN'T want to fuck when he gets the chance?

  • @MrSlendermanxLove i agree with you man, i love poetry, i hate the new music in this generation, all i listen to is this, respect to you man

  • @MrSlendermanxLove Hay I sang this to my girlfriend while playing it on guitar and she went bright red and said I was being very romantic. :)

  • loser you suck she did not because girls hate loser songs like this you suck lier

  • @MrSlendermanxLove geez,what a douche

people premarital fucked all the time back in the day you weirdo,it wasn't some "leave it to beaver" esque bizarro world....

  • @420420KAT There's a difference from a world and being polite. Now if you would please. Either of these suggestions will be pleasant. Either 1) Leave a kid with different point of views alone. 2) GO find something better to do with your time. Thank you.

  • @MrSlendermanxLove i don't know what the hell you're talking about,but ok,fair enough

  • @MrSlendermanxLove Wow, you sound like a depressive, clingy little emo bitch. No wonder you don't get girls.

  • LOL, hahahahaha!!!! Ahhh......

  • @xXSgtWolfXx No, it's because assholes with the IQ's of shovels like you are the majority of our generation, unfortunately. Leave the kid alone, this is exactly why poets and just artistic teenagers can't be themselves, typical douchebags make it impossible.

  • @TheHaloManiac25 Nah, not really. I have a higher IQ than you, and I am better than you in every conceivable way. He is not a "poet", he is a typical whiny little emo bitch, and other stupid little children such as yourself play white knight and enable him. Fucktard.

  • @xXSgtWolfXx You just helped me prove my point even further, by acting like you're this intimidating, stereotypical alpha-male guy. You're calling someone a whiny bitch over the fucking INTERNET, you're clearly not as intelligent or tough as you're making yourself out to be. So with that, I'm done arguing with just another internet tough guy.

  • @TheHaloManiac25 trolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololo

  • @xXSgtWolfXx Rofl, I know I said I was done, but I just had to, I'm laughing too hard at what a fail of a reply that was. Alright, seeya around, twat.

  • @TheHaloManiac25 lol, ur so mad.

  • @MrSlendermanxLove maybe she thought u were a weirdo sir

  • @MrSlendermanxLove she sounds like a fucking idiot. shes probably the type of girl who thinks no hands is romantic.

  • @MsRougesang Finally someone agrees

  • @MrSlendermanxLove I understand what you feel,I myself am only 16 but i grew up listening to love songs like this.It really sucks because many of my friends call me old fashioned and often tease me because I like oldies and hate Nikki Minaj.

  • @ryder0792 Comments like this are fucking dumb, what music are you listening to?

  • @ryder0792 EXCELLENTLY SAID 100 %

  • @ryder0792 you forgot the other eras

1974 - lets hang out, sex might happen

1984 - Who is ready for sex?

1994 - Lets have awesome sex

I hope that cleared it up for you

  • @ryder0792 ...its a very accurate account of our lifetime and I hope it will always instill the magic of that 1st moment. That moment that beats all moments.

When her eyes turn to you and say Hi !.........at that moment life begins

  • @ryder0792 Satan

  • @MaryJanee16 i don't give; on the bottom of the comment you can tell how recent you posted the comment

  • who ever pushed dislike go to hell this song is great

  • These songs are so great... I miss wholesome music

  • In the 50's and 60's the music was what counted not the color of their skin. Used to listen to a Detroit radio station (I was in Chicago) on AM at night to hear the real thing.

  • Would make a great "stroll" (dance). One of the biggest hits.

  • Y is modern music not like this its sad these songs have so much meaning

  • @MrSATANSVOICE me too

  • @MrSATANSVOICE exact same situation with me

  • A classic song from 1954, "Earth Angel" by the Penguins is way too awesome, this song was done originally done by them. I loved it when in the 1983 classic sequel movie "Superman III", Clark Kent and Lana Lang danced to this song, this version by The Penguins in the scene at the Smallville High School reunion in the film. Lived it when Clark Kent played it on the piano in the scene in "Superman III" where he is talking to Lana Lang while she is going some cleaning up after the reunion.
