Unfortunately this gaming is a steaming pile even at 100% realism. Just like in SH4, nothing works half the time and it does what it wants, when it wants.
Actually I think the graphics in SH3 is better than SH5 and SH4. Not technically but estetically.
They use too much bloom effects and other "filters" or mappings which make it look less sharp. I think SH5 will be good once the modding community have had their way with it though.

I would think you have the angle to bow wrong when you select it or am i reading it wrong? To me it looks like the ship is heading towards you and you are looking iat its port side (left) so it should be 30 degrees or 45 degrees at most to port. Please correct me if I'm confusing the whole thing.

TDC seems kinda complicated in a way...would take some getting used to. I like the explosions from periscope view they look nice. Seems to me like this will take a new computer for sure, along with good internet I guess, Don't like the idea of having to play it online really...
Looks not like a WW2 Sim, especially not the periscope. And you will only be able to play while you are allways online. That's weird for a game with no multiplayer mode. Why does Ubi need my saves? o.O

Ok--negatory aside. I like the first part, when you're walking through the sub, and get contacts read out--like, whoa, got to get to the periscope, etc.--things to do! Not just hitting icon and asking for report on contacts.

To get German voices go to where you have the game installed at. For me its
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\silent hunter 5.
Then go to: \data\LngGameData\Voices\German\Data\Sound\Speech
copy and paste folders to:
\data\Sound\Speech
Overwrite everything.
Also in order for it to work properly cannot load a saved game. You have to start over.

Thx Neal! It's nice but i have a strange feeling, like my crew is not "human", voices and attitudes don't match with the thrill of a convoy attack,...
