No give them alge wafers blood worm fresh or frozen ,mine goes mad for corgette also will eat cucumber just weight it down ,i have had mine for over 3 yrs now and he is lovley .good look with yours

I have 2 fancy guppies and 2 big-fin bristlenose pleco's (sucker-mouth catfish) and they all live harmoniously together always, healthy and happy, which makes me over the moon, to know they are thriving well,... they are absolutely beautiful... and so are yours.

well congratulations ,mine hid at first but now he comes out all the time i have had him for nearly 3yrs now..give your's corgette cucumber ,alge pellets, blood worm some bogwood and he will do well ...good luck

@kyokohitsuji, Firstly congrats on your fish, i hope everything goes exceptionally well. But let me tell you that, from my experience with cat fish, is that they are very shy, especially when they are babies, and they do get easily scared, and unfortunately we all scare them, even just walking past the tank scares them.. you cannot never make them panic or scared as much as it is not very nice, and they will always back away if you get to close to them, that is very normal...

@kyokohitsuji, but yes they do come out alot more when they get older, and it won't be long for you now, and they will be out and about more, and also, most catfish always prefer to eat at night for some reason, i don't know why... if you want me to tell you more, then just let me know and i'll be more than happy to help you if you want.

Purchased a snowball plec £30- ouch- it hid for 3 days even with plenty of cover apparently they dont grow as large as the standard plecs He resides in my 6ft tank

she has had one in her tank since the late 80's

she also has a zebra pleco from around the same time

My pleco was only about 3 inch but jumped out of my aquarium :S don't got anything on top of it.

Hi yes i also have a common plec in my tank and he eats the cucumber and corgette just as eagerly as my goldie.....

@BBD4697 You might try leaf lettuce too, such as Romaine...just weight it down with plant or fishing weights. Pretty much any green veggie will make your Plecos happy. People that think tank algae is enough often starve their plecos to death.

Hi well here i used a lead plant weight,but since then i have found a brill item on ebay it is called a screwcumber,you get two in a pack and they are made of stainless steal,i can recommend them.My Golden Nugget also likes zuccini i just blanch it for a few mins he seems to prefair the skin on it ,in the morning it's compleatly peeled.......
