@LiveActionFilms I posted the pics my doc sent me, and if you go to parents dot com and click pregnancy week by week, you can compare the pictures of a 7 week old and a 10 week old. Also, the SAME SITE where you got this image, the Endowment for Human Development, clearly states on the photo that it is based on CONCEPTION date and not LMP date, which is the standard set by the American College of Pediatricians. I'm against abortion as well, but I do not feel the need to lie to prove my point.

Hey, I've got an idea. You know all those zygotes in test tubes, oops, I mean babies in test tubes that are not used in fertility clinics. That translation is inaccurate & you clearly need to get a new Bible. The word "miscarriage" is translated from the Hebrew word "yasa" which litterally means "to come forth." NASB makes note of this in the margin. In other Bible verses "yasa" is used to mean birth, while "nepel" is used to mean "miscarriage." Who hasn't done their research now?

The Hebrew breakdown of this verse is extensive but I'll make a small point. The word "nefel" was used to mean the coming out of a fetus (her fruit departed) but does not say whether the fetus lived or died. From reading some of these comments I can see that people are really selfish. How could you say that you would rather someone kill their child than to have money come from your paycheck for welfare? Put your money where your mouth is and take them into your home and show them love. When a girl/women isn't ready to be a mother, the child will suffer and suffer.

We will ALL go to our graves not having come to a full understanding of ALL scripture. We will ALL understand our errors when we stand before God.

Miscarriage is God taking that child into His own arms. All children He loves, and He has a plan for each one of them, no matter how short their lives will be. He also has a plan for those children of abortion, however each time a child's life is destroyed by abortion, that plan cannot be carried out.

@JamSpring Those babies are meant for something. Whether they are loved by this world or not, they are always loved by God himself. But they are real. They are not balls of cells, they are His children, and the mother, that is their mother whether she continues on with the pregnancy or not. She does have to live with the decision she makes if it's abortion. She does not have to live with regret if she chooses life for that child.

@JamSpring My little girl who is turning one soon was born prematurely at 27 weeks and 5 days. I had an infection that basically ate at her placenta. I was in premature labor for about 16 hours. My daughter went for 16 hours with a very low amount of oxygen. The doctor's did not know what was going on and had never dealt with this type of infection. When they pulled her out via c-section, more than half her placenta was eaten away. She is healthy though.
@JamSpring She is healthy though, although she was 2 pounds 12 ounces and with a lack of oxygen for a long period of time. There is no brain damage, just a little developmentally behind from being born early. But if she fault for life in the womb for that long, imagine what those babies whose lives are being taken while in their mother's womb do. I saw the ultra-sound when I was going through contractions, and it really did look like she was really haning on to life.
God designed the reproduction of all living things. A body needs time to develope; hence, the gestation period in the womb. That womb rejects 1/3 of all pregnancies. So whether the miscarriage is a bodily rejection or a deliberate termination, God does with miscarriages what He does.
What do you think God does with all those natural miscarriages? Once you come to terms with that answer, you will no longer have to fret over abortions. You can trust God for He is merciful to the unborn.
has anyone noticed how crowded the world is? i really don't care about abortions, 9/11, the war, genocides or anything else pertaining to human life simply because it's only common sense that the more people there are on this planet, the more our quality of life declines. every abortion to me just means one less asshole who can't drive on the road.

My daughter,who I thank God for every day of my life! I could not have anymore children later in life. I wouldn't say that i am "for" abortion, i mean, in a perfect world it would never happen. However i believe that it is up to the woman to make that decision. As I read more and more about the pro-life dispositions it becomes clearer and clearer of how much religion has clouded the rational thought and judgement of those following it.

Abortion is seriously not as "shocking" as all of you make it out to be. It doesn't hurt, its super quick, and so many women get it done each day. The only side effect is intense nausea from the "twilight" medication. I had a great experience. I don't want to be another "teen-mom" statistic. I bettered my life with a simple 2 minute procedure. @LiveActionFilms I posted the pics my doc sent me, and if you go to parents dot com and click pregnancy week by week, you can compare the pictures of a 7 week old and a 10 week old. Also, the SAME SITE where you got this image, the Endowment for Human Development, clearly states on the photo that it is based on CONCEPTION date and not LMP date, which is the standard set by the American College of Pediatricians. I'm against abortion as well, but I do not feel the need to lie to prove my point.

Yes, the Planned Parenthood counsellor did give incorrect information regarding the developmental anatomy of the embryo, but in no part of this video did she press an "abortion sales pitch" upon the person seeking counsel. She did introduce the choice of continuing the pregnancy and the option of adoption, so she did inform the person of all viable options and procedures. At least, that's what I gathered from viewing all of the previously edited video footage by the person with the hidden camera

@JamSpring It's strange that you use that you use EX 21:22-25 to support your pro-choice view, b/c I've used that same verse to support my pro-life view. That translation is inaccurate & you clearly need to get a new Bible. The word "miscarriage" is translated from the Hebrew word "yasa" which litterally means "to come forth." NASB makes note of this in the margin. In other Bible verses "yasa" is used to mean birth, while "nepel" is used to mean "miscarriage." Who hasn't done their research now?

The Hebrew breakdown of this verse is extensive but I'll make a small point. The word "nefel" was used to mean the coming out of a fetus (her fruit departed) but does not say whether the fetus lived or died. @JamSpring Um, actually, it's "nepel" and it IS used to specifically mean "miscarriage," while "yasa," which is used in EX 21:22-25 means birth. Therefore, the verse is saying that causing a woman to give birth prematurely was punishable by fine, but if there was "further injury, then it's life for life, eye for eye...(etc)" Therefore, causing a miscarriage is punishable by death, so yes, the Bible does classify the unborn as human.

Can you explain why the verses I presented don't support the pro-life view? Plus, while the uterus may reject 1/3 of all pregnancies, 100% of people die eventually. With all the comments that are made on this page, my question to each one of you guys is this. It's a rough world out there. There is murder, rape, child abuse, trafficking, drugs, alcohol, suicide bombers, death of loved ones. But in some ways it was harder 2,000 years ago when Jesus was born to a mother who wasn't even married yet, could have been stoned, probably felt very much alone aside from Joseph. Aren't you glad that the Son of God was not aborted just because of this?

This is an innocent human being we are talking about. We are going to pay taxes no matter what anyways, that will never change. My resources are the former director of planned parenthood, who by the way also witnessed babies being born alive actually being killed by an abortionist. She was on facing life head on. They are sleeping wherever they can, eating garbage, sex for shelter, etc. Their story has one common sad thread, they've never felt loved. Their mother didn't want them. Put your money where your mouth is and take them into your home and show them love. When a girl/women isn't ready to be a mother, the child will suffer and suffer.

My only comfort in dealing with Biblical misinterpretations is Rev. 22:11.

Given what you've been taught, you believe a person is a person at conception; given what I have studied, I believe a person becomes a person at first breath. We will ALL go to our graves not having come to a full understanding of ALL scripture. We will ALL understand our errors when we stand before God.

They suffer from PTSD, turn to drugs, become sexually permiscuious even to the point of protituting themselves, cut themselves and become suicidal. I'm not here to judge women, but that's what they go through. I've seen it first hand. And we are not doing a favor to any child by murdering them. What do you think God does with all those natural miscarriages? Once you come to terms with that answer, you will no longer have to fret over abortions. You can trust God for He is merciful to the unborn.

@JamSpring Miscarriages or spontaneous abortion is natural. Abortion is not. God did not create surgical abortion procedures, and it is not up to us to put it in our own hands. I know there are some circumstances when a woman can not carry to term. In my country there are wonderful NICU's for that reason, bot be able to save both the babies life and the mom's. I know. Mine and my daughter's life had to saved that way. Aboriton should never be an answer no matter what.

They are not balls of cells, they are His children, and the mother, that is their mother whether she continues on with the pregnancy or not. @JamSpring My little girl who is turning one soon was born prematurely at 27 weeks and 5 days. I had an infection that basically ate at her placenta. I was in premature labor for about 16 hours. My daughter went for 16 hours with a very low amount of oxygen. The doctor's did not know what was going on and had never dealt with this type of infection. When they pulled her out via c-section, more than half her placenta was eaten away. She is healthy though.

@JamSpring She is healthy though, although she was 2 pounds 12 ounces and with a lack of oxygen for a long period of time. There is no brain damage, just a little developmentally behind from being born early. But if she fault for life in the womb for that long, imagine what those babies whose lives are being taken while in their mother's womb do. I saw the ultra-sound when I was going through contractions, and it really did look like she was really haning on to life.

My daughter,who I thank God for every day of my life! I could not have anymore children later in life. I wouldn't say that i am "for" abortion, i mean, in a perfect world it would never happen. However i believe that it is up to the woman to make that decision. No one else - not the government, not the father, not her parents - should EVER make that choice. It is a very personal decision and it is certainly NOT murder. And the other problem is that you have organizations like Planned Parenthood that use millions of our taxpayers dollars to perform these procedures. A fetus has a functional body in 6 weeks; the heart can start beating as early as 2 weeks. I dunno about you guys, but if another person purposely causes a heart to stop beating, I consider that murder. If you don't want a kid, don't have sex. Or at least have safe sex. As for rape cases, stop only thinking of yourself; in all due respect, yeah, rape sucks, but in the end, death is worse. Just sayin.

We are looking to adopt and I know there are hundreds and hundreds of couples just like us that can't have a child of our own and would LOVE to raise and cherish your baby.

Abortion is seriously not as "shocking" as all of you make it out to be. It doesn't hurt, its super quick, and so many women get it done each day. The only side effect is intense nausea from the "twilight" medication. I had a great experience. I don't want to be another "teen-mom" statistic. I bettered my life with a simple 2 minute procedure. I love my life. I'm graduating high school on Friday and I'm so excited to go to college in the fall away from my family!

This is uneducated propaganda that does not understand the importance of a woman's right to choose what she does with the fetus inside of HER body. I don't think you understand the importance of the option of abortion. When legal abortion is not an option for women, they resort to dangerous methods such as extracting the fetus themselves with things like shoe horns and coat hangers, which can be fatal. Women did this before there was abortion, and I promise you they would if it wasn't legal.

i see the development of those parts but i dont see a full baby nor is there a heartbeat, i completely agree! id rather her abort then get on welfare and have it come out of my paycheck and honestly the adoption thing is fucking crap because they are still TONS of kids in homes so why dont you go adopt one and let the womens movement continue to thrive:)

Actually I think people realize there mortality as they get older and realize how ridiculous it was to deny him. But I think people are actually very stubborn when they are older. I think people are actually more open when they are younger.

In answer to the question below, because it is a person with rights. The fetus is alive. That is a scientific , indisputable fact. Killing another human being is immoral and it is sickening that it is not illegal.
If you think it is not going to negatively affect the mother to have an abortion, you don't know anything. She will be affected by the rest of her life, of that I am certain.
