@rareisalive If you mean that faith separates us, than first the faith that we are one peole will start uniting us. Than the knowledge adn faith that Islam was forced here will do most of the rest. Yet another faith is that Jews and normal Muslims combined with some Christians will put an end to exrteme Islam.
Politics and religion are the same game of chess and most are the pieces and especially pawns being moved and used to serve the bidding of others. Until recent times we as a species have been divided by physical barriers, now we just have to get over mental ones. We are more bound by language and culture then anything and as soon as we realize this, we can progress past politics and religion and onto ethical science and a real path to peace and sustainability.
@jonny7748 This is all correct. But we, as Jews, have a very rich experience of being victims to foreign majorities. So we do not want too many foreigners among us to risk our control of our state and destiny. Germany was once the center of Jewish emancipation and flourishing non-religious culture. Until the Nazis. So before humanity gets over mental barriers we, in difference from most of the world, have to make sure we remain alive. This is why we need the engagement.
@misinai You said enough using the word "destiny." I am a Levi and a Hebrew and don't fall into line with fascism like others. We, yes, we, since you are the same ilk as myself, had plenty to do with National Socialism and don't pretend we didn't. Funny how so many will forcibly say "born a Jew die a Jew" until their little ideals are stepped on. If you want to remain alive, I suggest you help pull religion out of government and get back to real education based on science / facts.
@jonny7748 You are right, but to pull religion out of our governmnet you need to unify the non-religious parties, . This unification is improssible as long as there is no just and stable peace here. This is why the engagement peace plan is needed.
@misinai I know what you mean, and at once time would have agreed but nothing is impossible and in fact I think that the stress in the region could do just that, unify people in common need. We must be patient with each other and push each of our our ilk to progress. More people are proactively working together now then ever even if politicians and thugs want to dilute themselves and continue pawning us all. We must do this for future generations and must all stop being so short sited.
It seems to me that this is a conflict of religions. Why can't they just accept each other's differences and concentrate on their similarities? Why don't they build settlements with jewish and islamic settlers, where they both can coexist? I'm sure they can live together in peace because that's how they live in NYC and other parts of the world. The conflict there is all political and people the victims. Peace.
@TRYCLOPS1 There is no doubt that the problem is mainly political. Most of he population is not seriously religious. The conflict is mainly about nationality. This is what we are going to solve - one nation. About mixed settlement - this will exist, but based on united nationality.
Has it occurred to them that we're all brothers? Not because we're just descendants of the same tribe but because we're all descendants of the same group called humanity? Differences in religious beliefs, traditions, genetics are just superficial. We're all humans. I see good intentions here but good intentions in the wrong way. We shouldn't just respect the palestinians because they're descendants of jews but because they're fellow human beings just as Israelis... I wish I could help...
@TRYCLOPS1 1. Humanity is one big tree of groups. In order to unite humanity in peace we need to unite first the small branches that are close to each others. 2. The problem here is the demography. We have been minorities for 2000 years around the globe and deeply suffered. we did not come here to be a minority. This is the reason why we need most of the Palestinians to join us so there is no demographic problem.
I am Palestinian and 100% believe that we have Jewish blood, but how about instead of trying to justify Israel's occupation by preaching to Arabs that they have Jewish ancestry, you use these studies to show the European Israelis that in fact the indigenous Arabs they villainize are equally as genetically Jewish. This study has been twisted to support Zionism.
@benleftun Both Askhenazi and other jews are all about 72-73% genetically Bani Israil. There are no Jewish Genes but there are genes of Bani Isael. The Palestinains west of the Jordan river are about 50% Bani Israil and another 40% Edomites, moabites and few Amonites that were Jews and are very close genetically to Bani Israil. So it is not easy to say who is more genetically Bani Israil. But it is not important. Important is to make peace, finish the suffering and invest in the future of all .
@benleftun There is no occupation by Israel . The only occupation that remained is the occupation of the Palestinians' identity by the Arabs that we have to put an end to, by returning the Palestinians to their real identity. It is the Palestinians political and terror leadership that villainize all the Jews, not only the those that were refugees in Europe. Villanizing started with Haj Amin El-Huseini that incited ignorant Palestinians against their jewish brothers and still continues today..
Stop your incitement and listen. We and the Palestinian masses are the victims of the corrupt Plaestinian and Arab leaders. @benleftun The study really supports Zionism since Zinism will relase not only the Jews from their misery but also the Palestinians and later the entire Arab world. Neighter the Palestinians nor the Arabs can release themselves from their misrey. Only Zionism can do it and will do it. The same thing that it has done to the Jews it will do the the rest of the Middle East.
LOL that ideology is seriously crippled. Save Palestinians from their culture?? What a racist, European sentiment. We do not need anyone to come and tell us our "real identity." I'm pretty sure we know damn well who we are. Palestinians have no problem with Judaism; before the 1948 occupation and expulsion of nearly a million Palestinians from their homes on behalf of the Zionist movement, Jews in that land considered themselves Palestinians.
@benleftun There is part of teh Arab culture that is a disater to all those that have this culture. Thre are part fo AIslam taht was added by people that are a disaster to all Muslims. In 1948 only 25% of the refugees were expelled. The rest fled away as result of instructions by Araba and Palestinian leaders. THe total number from within the green Line was about 300,000. You are jusy one victim of the lies of the Palestinian leadership. The entire country was called Palestina byEeuropean Jews..
This has nothing to do with religion, or the name Palestine vs. Israel for that matter. It is simply a matter of one power colonizing and destroying another people. Please: the world needs no more Westerners going to foreign lands and "saving them from their identity." There will only be peace once there is justice for the Palestinian people. Sadly, if justice were to be served, and all stolen land returned, then every last bit of Israel would have to be given up, so we will have to compromise.
@benleftun You are not another People. Yuo ar eoen with us. We are not colozisers. We are refugees for 2000 years fo suffering taht returned home. We are not saving anyone from his identity, just removing false identity. What is stolen is not land but identity, stolen by the Arab imperialists.THis land is not flreign to us and th eentire Arab world is a disaster today.
@benleftun You are such an idiot. Jews: An ETHNO-RELIGIOUS GROUP (Jews are ethnicity and religion) originating from the Hebrews and at one time your original ancestors were JEWS (Hebrews) who practiced Judaism, spoke Hebrew/Aramaic and were Arabized, just like majority of Latinos are only Spanish by language but originally were Native Amerindians(Mayas,Aztecs) Just like Egyptians are Arab by language only but are from Ancient Egyptian Coptic BLOOD/ANCESTRY. Learn your history.
@2011rapanui2011 All theses prolelms must be solved before any serious i8mprovement can take place. The probelm is cultirall and has to do with the problems of the Arab language.
2011rapanui2011 Dear rapanui. Money is not the solution and thewest is colapsing becasue fo lack of money. The Palestinian shall unite with ItheJews as they are one people. They do not belong to teh Arabs and they Arabness is only cultural- like Jews coming from Russia are not Russian in Nationality but in culture only. The probelem of teh Arab world is not money, not democracy and not leaders, but Ignorance, iiliteracy and lack of accuracy.
Islaam does not coerce anybody to embrace it. Islaam is clear as Allaah says in the Qur’aan: “There must not be coercion in the religion!” It is a fact that Jewish Scholars have embraced Islaam because of the genuine truth they recognized in it.
@IbnDarwish You are very right. But this does not mean that all Muslims preserved what Islam says. Are there no thieves, murderers or adulterers among Muslims? in the same token, in 1012 the rules of Islam were violated here and Islam was forced. The vazirs of El-hakem issued a decree - those who would not leave the country must become Muslims. The poor fallahin were not able to leave and did not want to leave their land and played as if they are muslims..
AbduAllaah ibn Salaam, for example was a chief Jewish Scholars in Medina during the time of Prophet Mohammad has embraced Islaam. Not too long ago, Leopold Weiss, who is known as Mohammad Asad has also embraced Islaam, and did one of the best translations of the Qur’aan into English.
I am pretty sure that there were many Jews who have willingly chose to embrace Islaam. Islaam is a religion, and race has nothing to do with Islaam. Arabs constitute about 14 % of the Muslim population; about 86 % are not Arabs. So it doesn’t matter what one’s race is when it comes to faith.
@IbnDarwish We arenot speaking abourt religion. We are speaking about race - so blood brothers will stop hating and killing each other and will live united in peace. Exactly as you say - they do not have to be Arabs in order to be Muslims. They can be Bani Isra'il who are Muslims..
God does not favor people because of their race; He rather favors them (that is, He does them favors) by sending Divine Guidance to them) because HE is All-Merciful. After all, we all are the descendents of Adam, and Adam is made of clay.
@IbnDarwish We are not speaking about God. We are speaking about peace. The devine guidince to the Jews and to the Palestinians is to bring back the people that were froced to covert against the rules of Islam. To bring them back not from their current religion, even that it was imposed on them against the rules of Islam, but from thier fasle Arab nationality.
Before the emergence of Islaam, many Palestinians were Christians at one time, and it took about a period of 700 years for the majority of Palestinian to embrace Islaam – as Islaam does not force anyone against his will. Regardless, those who embraced Islaam from among the Jews and Christians in the holy land are still Palestinians geographically, and Muslims by faith.
@IbnDarwish Not so many Palestinians were christians. Most of them were Jews and others other Samaritans/
Palestinains did not embrace Islam - they wreer froce to convert. See The decree by Khaliph El Haken Be'imer Illa - year 1012. Nobody says that they are not Muslims. We say there ar enot really Arabs. Palestine and Israel is the same Geography.
we must stop the terrorists, its the only way to solve this whole problem, but the major problem is that there are too much terrorists in the middle east & the world refuses to see the truth
It's a faith guys, A FUCKING FAITH NOT BIOLOGICAL!
