But when DMX came on, it was truly a wrap then. I broke down as if she were my own. I stayed in a daze over this tragedy for she left us too soon, & I believe she would have been a real challenge for some of the "artists" here today. The year before Aaliyah died, 2000 was a heartbreaking year for me, I had lost my great-grandmother December 2000. Both deaths still hit hard for me.

It's very sad to me, I am a huge fan of hers, and I always will be. But her songs are still reaching people to this day, and I am so thankful for her and the beautiful music she gave all of us!

Man it hit hard later, that painful night. I was only 11 back in 01' & I remember my mom telling me about her death. I didnt know anything about Aaliyah back then. I just remember back in the summer of 2000 Nickelodeon had a top 5 playlist for music videos each week & her video "Try Again" remained #1 throughout that summer. I Still remember that. The year before Aaliyah died, 2000 was a heartbreaking year for me, I had lost my great-grandmother December 2000. Both deaths still hit hard for me.

That was real. X has been through a lot in his life and he is still going through a lot of pain. I hope everything works out for my man and I pray that he will be happy again. But this industry is full of snakes and cowards that are trying to bring X down. All these sellouts are taking over and claiming hip hop.
