Learning guitar I realize how different each instrument is. With the piano you can maintain rhythm (you're doing it with your left hand) and work through scales (with your right) at the same time. Only the very best guitarists could emulate something like that, Stevie Ray could do it. I realize that I still have a long way to go before I can improvise the blues and sound good but this is inspirational, well done.
Hi there, you say that it's helpful to listen to boogie woogie CDs to pick up tips, so have you got any faves that you'd recommend? And any for slow blues too? Thanks!!
yeah i have da same problem wit trying to put left hand riffs wit da right hand i always mess up,but i learned how to play "How Long Blues" but theres a part that i would mess up on,da begining sounds good until i get to da part i mess up on, but n e ways is there any note to this song that i can get some how
I'd love to be able to play like that. I've play both drums and guitar for 14 years and both very well, but there's just something about piano I can't get the hang of. I can a solid blues rhythem with my left hand on its own and I can play bluesy sounding notes with my right on its own but I can't for the love of god put the two together! I've tried for years but it just won't happen!
hello how ya goin, im from Australia. Just wanting to ask a question ive been playing guitar for a while now and love playing it no doubt but i would like to know how are scales played on piano or how are they set out compared to guitar ?? please help CHEERS ! :)
Love this video and all your others. Any way you could post more performances with a top down view? It would be great to see what you're playing. You really can't see anything from this angle.
It's important that your left hand has to be solid. If your left hand is not keeping the rythm your right hand is useless. "Your left hand is like god". First practise the left hand and then just try to use some chords in the right hand. Not to difficult but just to let it swing. Timing will come later, you need to get that swing! good luck Eeco
Stunning Eeco. That was one of the most beautiful 12 bars I've heard starting from about 1:40 into the song. In fact the last half of the song just made it for me! Well done! :)
La meilleur interpretation que j'ai jamais entendue, vraiment Bravo :)
J'adore le vieux bon blues, le blues lent. Pour moi y'a que ça de vrai, Vive le blues :) VERY GOOD
