On the set up in the rear did you keep it factory with the panhard bar or was it modified or replaced with a wish bone or a y. Any info would be great man
Awesome thanks for the help Bro! was thinkin bout runnin 10's or 12's in the rear don't know yet gotta see how far the rear trailing arms will swing out. I've seen some Mark V's run 10's before. Just wondering have you ever seen a 4 door like ours pull a 3 wheel? Cant say that i've ever seen any vids or pics for that matter ever pullin one, I wonder if it can be done? It's just so damn long! LOL. Well keep up the good work and keep those vids comin!
Sweet car man I just bought me 78 just like it all black on black I'm gettin ready to juice mine. Couple questions for ya what size cylinders you runnin front and back and did you go with a coil over set-up on the rear. Also did you use your factory springs or aftermarket? If so what ton are they and how many turns of a coil you runnin front and back? Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks!!
@TheWildtiger87 8's all around. Did a coil over set up on the rear, will be adding shocks. 2 ton springs up front, unsure on coil count but is able to drive all the way down
@honeyeyedboi03 You HAVE to wrap the frame if you're gonna hop or 3 wheel. It's a shit load of stress on the frame, YOU WILL bend or crack your frame if you dont wrap it. Some people just reinforce the stress points, which helps, but is not complete protection.
@honeyeyedboi03 It was $2500 for everything including extending the a-arms. The frame is not wrapped, so no hopping or 3 wheeling for now, its usually around another $2k for that.
@spencerbrown2007 Oh great, another know everything youtuber. Well you're about 1/2 right, the 79's are actually called lincoln continental towncars, not just "towncars". So, dumbshit, they did make towncars in 79.
@logantic If you don't like that paint job, you should see my '79 with brushed on flat black Rustoleum. I just like these cars for their ability to crush Honda's and drive away. That thing is super clean siccsoul, very nice.
Pinnalce of luxury? LMFAO, So you're telling me when someone is in the CURRENT market for a luxury car, they're going to buy a vehicle over 30 years old? If you're not into lowriders/custom cars, go look at other videos. And no, I would not put hydros on a newer luxury car, thats why is done to an old car, a lowrider
Did he say Pancake? lol

@LilRob64 rear was kept stock. (only using 8" cylinders). A-arms up front were extended for strength

is that including the hydraulics, pumps and everything, about how long does it take for installation.
honeyeyedboi03 1 year ago
@honeyeyedboi03 pumps, batteries, battery rack, switch box....everything. Took the shop here in Phoenix (street life hydraulics) about 3 days

What exactly is the point to hyraulics on a beautiful luxury car like that? No offense meant, I just don't understand the concept.
bodyvegas 2 years ago
because its a 79 towncar, not a 2010 Mercedes S500 luxury car
siccsoul916 2 years ago
That doesn't explain the use of hydraulics. The 79 Towncar is the absolute pinnacle of luxury cars!! It's like seeing an old lady in high heels LOL
