I know Dixie didn't always share Julia's views, but boy she knew how to say things in that character the way they needed to be said and YES, the current crop of GOP candidates needs to hear this, but also as a current resident of Atlanta and a born citizen of the southern U.S. so do a lot of Democrats and so-called liberals here in Atlanta.

What's sad is that 20+ years later some of those points still apply. The average person can't read past a 10th grade level and we rank lower than countries like Japan, France and other friends in Europe in math & science.
