Thanx for the info mate. Been after this bootleg since 1971 when I heard about it. Got to see Jimi and John live but not together. Quite an Experience I can tell you. Stay Free.
How does one verify this is an authentic recording of both Jimi Hendrix & John McLaughlin. I hear so many combos of musicians that are not alive. I was surprised to see the one of Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury.
McLaughlin surely is a hell of a player with an outstanding technique but here, face to face with Hendrix incredible riffing, he seems not completely at ease whereas Jimi overplays a bit IMO. All in all, amazing players but not the best jam ever.
Im no sure but I think there is also a live version of this jam. Man these guys are unreal! So cool how this stuff used to happen all the time. I wish I was alive then!!
This guy was years ahead of his time.He paved the way for todays great blues arists. No doubt about it!I magine if he and SRV were still with us!What a rush!
