That is why Vietnam they eat Rats and China they eat dogs. Years of war has seen the over harsh times such that they had no food supply hence teaching themselves the culture of eating forbidden foods and resorting to killing the innocent gentle giants. Firstly, slaughterhouse kills are generally done more humanely than this (No, I'm not saying the animals don't suffer when they die, and I know not all slaughterhouses are regulated well, but in general it is better than this). Secondly, farm animals are just that: farmed. They are only alive because they are bred and grown for consumption, not animals being hunted in the wild to the brink of extinction.

@cloudberry121 Fair enough. I looked it up, Minke whales are not listed as endangered, but are listed as vulnerable, which means not quite enough is known about them or their numbers to be 100% sure. I couldn't find anything re. dolphin populations. That doesn't address the humane issue... perhaps this video is misleading, but it sure looks like a slow, cruel death from watching this. And these are very inteligent animals. Sure, I do eat meat, but here farm animals are slaughtered quickly.
