  • akaoy mao nani

  • Why the fuck is everyone hating on this guy? Go to his god damn website to watch him run you fucking stupid butt fucks. So tired of listening to people talk shit bout others, he probably give more info on the actual website its self. If you are all going to talk the talk then walk the fucking walk and make your own gawd damn video if you think you can do it better. This guy gave clear solid information and said he had more to tell on his website so fuck all of you stupid bitches. :D

  • TMI (too much information) which is irrelevant to efficient, effective running, and amazingly, not a single moment of actual running, showing the better techniques and perhaps highlighting some common problems. Arm position and tightness is pretty irrelevant, and, when there are important issues, such as avoiding the heel striking too hard, they should be mentioned.

  • rixille hahhahahahahahahahahaha I laughed so hard when I read your comment

  • This guy likes to take his asshole and shove used condoms up it. He then takes a blow job from a dog while smoking pot.

  • Okay, so you covered every part of the body Except for the feet. That's frustrating.

  • @urmom8mypie ...TOO FUNNY...thats the only reason I came here...What about the feet? Do I heel strike and roll, or do I spring off from the forefoot & toes???

  • @kennyb44 I believe it's spring off from the forefoot and toes, heel striking isn't smooth and you want your form to be smooth, if that makes sense. :D

  • i keep asking myself why i searched this

  • Why does he sound like he's underwater?

  • UUU AAARRREEE AAA CCCUUUTTTIIIEEE!!!

  • What's the easiest way to train to be able to carry weights of 15kg where you have to jog as well ie.firefighter

  • I wanted to smile at his joke, but I didn't want to waste too much energy.

  • This isn't really relevant to proper running, but would you recommend wearing a weighted vest to improve speed?

  • there are 20 people who have watched this video that dont know how to run ...

  • good tips

  • The way I look at it, the more energy burnt is more calories burnt. If people don't know how to run that tells me they are probably trying to loose weight. I doubt you will be in any races any time soon.

  • @adutton428

nah, i'm in really good shape. i go to gym 3 times a week, and doing martial art also 3 times a week. but i do not know how to run. i do not intend to lose more weight, i just need to prevent injuries, especially long term ones. and as everybody say,... now i'm here.

  • @yunodira If you want to prevent injuries look into barefoot running. Not only does it strengthen your feet, it's also a crazy leg muscle workout, and it's can actually realign any misbalances in your body. Don't buy into the shoe company scam. Just pay careful attention to the technique with it all. If you go out and just run with a heel strike method (as shown above) you will just hurt yourself more. You want a mid-foot strike. If you don't want to mess your feel up, Vibram 5-fingers shoes.

  • any advice for running on an upward incline?

  • @GoldenRing1989 U just need to create more leg strength for yourself. You can do some leg training work outs or just push it when your running, running will build leg strength it just takes time. Oh and remember to STRETCH!! very important. hope that helps.

  • If you guys bought a mic that you hold over the people talking you guys would look more professional. (this is all advise to make your future videos better.)

  • Thanks for tip, a biggener's life save

  • I am a girl and I was told I ran like a girl...now I am here

  • I have been told i walk and run flat footed, how do i stop this?

  • i was told that i ran stiff.

  • my cousin says i "point my toes" when i run or something. and when i run i always hit the other leg with my feet! cant help it

  • didnt know moby ran

  • He looks like Andre Agassi.

  • I thought about alot of the things you said, only I never do them, I am going to try them on my Army 2mile test tomorrow and see how they go.... : ) Thanks!!!

  • How about doing a "Proper techniques for making a Youtube video" that include less backround noise and louder audio. It might also help if the guy filming didn't have Parkinsons.

  • thanks-you're hot :)

  • I liked your video, and i am going to check out more! However, maybe you go over this elsewhere, but a great tip for beginners is to talk about steps per minute. At any pace, you want at least 180 steps a min, or count the swings of one arm and you should get 90 per minute or 45 per 30 sec. Focusing on this negates over displacement and up and down issues. A good bit of advice on what to do with your head is say "keep you chin parallel with the ground".

  • hey i heard that you should keep your stomach tight for definition??

  • BOOM!

  • @Hill20100, can't ..., using Android :d

  • lol, "you can put a smile on your face if you want"...that was funny

  • u r good !

  • How do I land my feet when i'm running? (long distance)

  • @thelosthikerz I'm no pro, but I do a fair bit of running. Just from experience, not from any formal education, I can say you want roll your foot from heel all the way too toe when you lift off. It's kind of like making your foot a wheel. If you do that, using your calf to push off from your toe, I promise you'll get sore muscles but way less winded going much much faster. Takes some concentration though.

  • @alteregoash I've tried the way that I normally run, which is the way you just explained, and also landing on the balls of my feet (below your toes?? idk how you say it).

My brother said the way I run land on my heels and rolling says it's not the correct way to run because in the long run it will put too much pressure on your knees and the rest of your leg. So he told me to land on the balls of my feet instead of my heels. I'm preparing for my 5k run but I don't know how to land!!!

  • @thelosthikerz Yeah that's the ball of the foot. I have done that but i found a few problems with it. For one you spring up which wastes energy. The other is, especially on trails, you almost certainly start to torque your ankle and knee. I find it can be good on tracks if you sprint because you lean forward enough that the upward spring pushes you forward and the surface is even. MIght be worth it to alternate in the 5k since it's different sets of muscles. Again, I'm no pro.

  • @alteregoash I see where you're coming from. Good point, never thought of those things. Thank You so much!!!!!! you've helped me a lot.

  • Your total marriage solution partner **rockmycity.info**

  • Thank you so much for your help - you have really helped me a lot! :D

  • @danielhinton13579 I was told I run goofy... Now I'm here.

  • @bidou678 hahaha yea that can be pretty sad.

  • i cant hear it :(

    thumbs down

  • shoot i run pretty up and down -_- but im a good jumper

  • @bidou678 I understand what you mean, but it's not a matter of simply running. It's a matter of running WELL. Running with incorrect form can lead to injury in the long run. Long RUN. Get it? Haha

  • @bidou678 some people are just unathletic.... i'm not, i was expecting some kind of revelation that would get my 40 time from a 4.6 to a 4.5, but this is just a video to teach the average joe how to be a little more efficient.

  • good to know I was moving my arms all wrong

  • Search up ``Sub 2 Hour Marathon | An American Record?``

It is a way better video. Despite being an extreme example of elite athletes' running technique, the biomechanics are pretty much the same. The major difference is during their strides, they can push way harder.

Running properly is not only fast, but more importantly, prevents injury.

Even though shoes are getting better, running injuries are more frequent. This is because you all suck at running.

  • lets race then, @soloM81

  • Comment removed

  • @sabuser2 sounds like a personal problem. lol

  • This is garbage. As a kinesiology student and competitive triathlete, I would never take any of this advice. Running is all about posture. Keep the body standing tall with the chin tucked in. Foot falls should be directly below your centre of gravity with a relaxed foot. Don't flex your foot up like this clown tell you. Landing on your heel is wrong. A flat food landing will allow the force of each stride to be partially absorbed by your calf muscles.

In conclusion, find a better source for tips

  • @timrhodes1 post a video then....

  • @timrhodes1 YOU FAIL NUMBNUTS talking all that crap but where is your video?

  • @timrhodes1 BITCH PROVE IT

  • great tutorial. thanks

  • @MrJackMeOffski Ya. It helps.

  • wow thanks a lot. i found this trying to found out how to avoid looking dorky when running (which i kept doing) and now i know i was moving my shoulders side to side >.< i had my shoulder muscles and upper arm muscles all tightened and my face all tense~ i got tired so quick doing that.... hmmm i shall try to follow your advice on my next run. ty so much for this helpful vid!!

  • Great video! I'm going to try those wall exercises because I have a pain in my right hip so maybe my muscles are weak.

    Thanks

  • good advice on running basics but there is one important thing omitted...it is basically impossible to run with a good form on a treadmill..i'm not saying it is not good cardio exercise but if you want to be a runner, you need to run outside on the road, on the trail, on the track, whatever is your poison...if you don't believe me (why should you), look at the pro runners training

  • Obviously over time I will get better at reducing lactic acid build up. however is there any supplements that I can take that act as a buffer?
