WOTLK was released the 13th of november 2008.

@94Ola at the time that fear was about the only thing that got warlocks in group pvp are useless no matter how many dots they put up... i would dot my main target, fear an add, dot the add, fear the main and repeat... it the way all affliction locks BG'd then, even w/o any direct dmg spells i always broke 1 million dmg and topped the bg chart w/ HK's by the end... win/lose/draw

Last i checked an 80 can wear 70 gear but a 70 cant use moves you dont get till 80. And syphon life was taken out as a cast at 3.1....he's 80...there are tons of 80 vids where ppl are casting syphon life.

@dragonfire270000 id do affliction for leveling and destruction for pvp HOWEVER demonology isnt bad for lvling once your 50 you get fel guard but i leveled with affliction, affliction isnt bad for pvp or pve though for pve id do affliction and if your kinda lazy then id do it for pvp (no offence to pvp afflic locks im just saying you do get to be more layed back by dotting and watching vs casting consistantly as destruction) but destruction does have alot of high crits so its fun to 3 shot :p

the mage at the end: wtf where you dooing there? >_> spell lock - fear - dot up - drain life. with mages you never start off with a shadow spell cast, it will cause you to loose allot of HP. you start of with either howl of terror(if you got it speced to instant cast) - death coil(not recommended, if you got other options) or pet spell lock followed by a fear or something that gives you time to dot things up :)

Affliction isn't bad in my point of view, but a warlock is alot like anything else, it's basically whatever fits you, Destruction being the most common because it's the easiest to use, it has ALMOST the same talent tree as raids, and its all burst, it got nerfed though

Affliction is great, i didnt like it

Demonology was badass, you could hit for 30k soulfires while in meta, demonology is the most dps in raids too..also great support

@Genralix I can agree that demo is nice for raids but it does not provide the most dps for raids. If you download "spellpriority" and go affliction with haste stacked as crazy, you will do much more dps than with demo. all the lock's in my guild got allot better gear than me but I can do more dps than them :) but off course it's all about play style and needs :D

@OfficerBlowFish i went destro after i got the resilience to get beat on for a little bit... nobody in their right mind would have ran destro pvp between wotlk launch and obtaining some real resilience gear... warlocks were basically forced to go affliction at this point... demo carries too much reliance on your pet to suit my play style... destro was a wet dream after i got 80 arena gear
