@stiimuli I'll try to explain as well as I can with the character limit:
1. The feet do not contact the ground realistically. Legs seem to roll off too well for a person wearing heels. More apparent as the character walks across the frame.
2. Left forearm is a bit stilted. Arm swings terminate a little too far forward to maintain balance.
3. Head looks a bit too floaty for this type of gait.
Again, I might be wrong, but I think it's *very* impressive but still looks hand drawn.
@stiimuli "all of the things you mentioned could be due to mocap conversion to this particular figure." - I agree, but on an intuitive level, something tells me this just isn't natural. While you say you can see the "tiny movements" of a mocapped animation, I look for a characteristic "jitter" that I haven't been able to spot here.
The ankle "wobble" works in one direction, but not the other imo.
I do see the great level of detail here, which is impressive, I'm just not sold on the realism.
@stiimuli Lastly, the arm swings do not seem to be affected by the mass of the body, and vice versa.
I'm trained in architectural animation and I would defer to your opinion when it comes down to making a decision, however it is more conclusive for me to say this is hand animated rather than mocapped :)
Where do you get these textures and stuff? Cause when mine started up, there was nothing in the content tabs! And also how do you connect stuff together? What I mean by that is like, for example, you grab a persons hand and drag it out, it takes the arm with it.
the walk looks like a mocapped bvh. If you animated it by hand I must commend you

@stiimuli Definitely animated by hand, but impressive all the same

@kaisergrendel all of the things you mentioned could be due to mocap conversion to this particular figure.
The feet seem to contact the ground quite realisticly for a woman walking in heels even accounting for the balancing wobble at the ankle.
Either one of us could be wrong on this but I'm seeing tons of tiny movements indicative to a mocap actor being used.
Animating a walk cycle by hand with this level of detail would be quite difficult. I know because I do it for a living.

@Reddragonwolf14 what you need to look into is 'inverse kinematics'.

Excellent! Can you share the system and render specs with us, or any other information that might help us try out this sort of scene? Thanks!

I can't imagine me having my own stuff on a supercomputer!
I purchased the stuff you own but whenever I start to render a video it takes ages to render one frame of hundreds..
I have a 4Gigbytes RAM and 2.53 CPU!

really a good walk, no skating, no snappings, and a nice sense of weight when she turns the corner.
