  • guitar playing is to underrated these days. When you say your a guitar player people take it like a normal fact, nothing special.

But only a few people really know how to play....these days a guy plays a chord and he thinks he´s god .... Learning this instrument takes a lot of work.....

  • I have a confession to make: I ignored Julian Bream for about five years because of his recording of the Alard arpeggio study (from 1988, I felt the individual notes were not clear and distinct). Forgive me Lord, for Julian Bream is one of the greatest --of all time!!

  • 1:45 someone should make a giant wall-sized photo out of it and plaster it over their walls. then invite their friends over to play some guitar and take a photo right in front it.

  • In this music JB is insuperable with his 1973 Romanillos guitar.

    A perfect couple!

  • I FUCKEN LOVE THIS SONG THIS VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • imagine how tarrega played it...

  • this piece touched my soul

  • Anyone who plays this piece: Could you please tell me what right hand fingerings you use for the run on measure 7? While you're at it, could you also include the left hand fingerings for that measure? Thank you!!!

  • @teledude1 I'd love to hear him on steve vais ibanez and a marshall combo

  • bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 7 people r gay..

  • one of the best versions. lovely song

nice to know how tarrega looked by the way

  • Woah

  • When you startet to hear this played by JB, you could not zap off. You're drawn by the music.

  • This is the song i will hear my dream girl walking past me

  • recently discovered bream; this guy is fantastic. he can play everything not just classical; and he plays it all at an extremely high level.

  • Capricho Arabe thats one of those pieces that make something inside you just go BOOM!!!! I love this piece!!!! TARREGA!!!! is just awesome!!!

  • 5 people would rather listen to Rebecca Black's Friday

  • @metaphysicalmystic And the other 3 would rather listen to Justin Bieber.

  • @metaphysicalmystic To mention that crappy piece of 'music' here, is almost blasphemy.

  • Is the guitar at 3:15 left handed?

  • @dugrey91 I don't think so. It seems as though the 3rd string is a little thicker than the rest of the strings. That is normal for a nylon G string, but on the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a distinct visual difference between the bass and treble strings, which probably means they aren't nylon

  • This man is by far one of the best classical guitarist's to ever live.

  • this version is by far the best

  • my god.. thats superbe..

  • Hey guys, please check out my interpretation of Capricho Arabe. It's DEFINITELY not as good as Bream's, but I still hope you guys still enjoy it. Please rate and comment. :)

  • Why there's no repeat button on youtube...

  • Beautifully played. But I still prefer Segovia's redition of this piece.

  • @ealiagac Christopher Parkening does an excellent job as well. :)

  • i feel like im in the room with him...

needless to say, i've taken something ha ha!...

  • 3:10 brakes my head!! me parte la cabeza!!

  • i really enjoy playing this piece, very melodic so you can learn it all by ear from this clip (I learned it from an old vinyl LP though so the sound quality was much better than YT making it easier) not a difficult piece but give yourself an hour to memorize it and your in business.

  • @newislandguitar your right thats how i memorized paco de lucia concierto de aranjuez and i play it with out knowing the notes just from ear and practice! :)

  • Its marvelous ..

  • i've not heard a better guitarist

  • so proud to be an arab and play this..

  • Many Thanks fof this MUSIC and Video!!! I very much like it!

    With sincere respect, Raisa.

  • Insuperable... aún en los silencios....

  • My cat fell asleep while i played this. Haha, very relaxing and beautiful song.

  • beautiful piece this is best version ive heard

  • How some of these buildings down come crashing down at the slightest tremble leaves me begging.

  • What poster is the one at 1:45 ? Please let me know.

  • @yozmosis I can't tell you all the names. But I can tell you it's a picture of Tarrega playing for some friends and disciples. I found it in a book of Tarrega's work called: The Music of Francisco Tarrega. It also contains a picture of Andres Segovia with Tarrega's son and Miguel Llobet :)

  • @yozmosis it's Francesco Tarrega in barcelona shoving a new song to his friends

  • @JogurtBelinea thats so cute! its like hey guys check this out and all these fancy gentlemen gather round

  • @JogurtBelinea ya, he's shoving it right up their asses

  • @JogurtBelinea You're wrong because his name doesn't write like that, his name is Francisco Tarrega and in the video you did put the name of the piece "capriccio arabe" and that's not like the music calls, because this piece calls capricho arabe. The rest is very good and the sound is perfect.

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuck this is so good!!

  • Bream is such an expressive musician, for me he sets the standard for so many guitar pieces.

  • Sonó espléndida anoche en el concierto de Pepe Romero en el Teatro Metropolitano de Medellín. Es una caricia....

  • absolutely right ! Music speaks what cannot be expressed , soothes the mind and gives it the rest, heals the heart and make it whole , flows from heaven to the soul.

  • inexplicable beauty... there are no words...

  • Nice video and great interpretation of capriccio.

  • classical guitar music made me love espagnol

  • BEST FUCKING VERSION FUCKING EVER

  • Great composition! It seems like at least 2 guitars at times!

  • I have always admired Julian Bream and I like this version very much, but it really isn't my favourite. That honour goes to Ana Vidović whose version I have on a CD, recorded in 1999. For me as well as being technically perfect Ms Vidović gives this so much more emotional depth than Julian Bream does.

  • Respond to this video... Thank you Tarrega, for the deeply touching music you left us. You stand amongst the greatest composers ever. And Julian, you are truly the master of masters on the guitar.

  • Una de las mejores interpretaciones que he escuchado, la expresión musical, los matices resaltan e imponen la personalidad del interprete.

  • how can he play like that? just amazing!!!!!!!

  • OMG! This was the first piece I learned that made me say, "I'm a guitarist." It is so much fun to play, and not really that difficult, but is a must for any guitarist, it was one of my show pieces!

Bream is a master, I grew up with his music in the late 1960s but I was a Sevovia copy-cat!

Thanks for posting, it brought tears to my eyes! :-))

  • I'd like to play this for my grandparents before they pass. I've been at it for quite some time.

  • Stunningly beautiful!

  • that was good

  • sounds alot like the riff mark nofler used in a song don't worry wonder where he got it hmmm

  • I cried a little when I listened to this because I can never play even one note as beautifully as he does. Jesus, I wish I could have seen him live.

  • I know he's not dead.. just don't think I'll get the opportunity

  • Tears often find their way down my cheeks too when I listen to such a master playing such a masterpiece.

  • So weird we can't actually hear Fransico Tárrega himself, but we can imagine how it was by listening to this great musician

  • Paco de Lucia is a flamenco guitarist ,i dont understand why are you compearing both of them .anyway both of them great guitarist.

  • I love it!

  • Beautiful!

  • I am glad we can hear J.Bream recording. Thank you for posting.

I wish Tarrega lived at the time recording had already been invented. He must be as great a guitarist as he is -a composer.

  • Beautiful i listen to it everyday.

  • amazing O.o

  • Tarrega understood the guitar

  • i couldn't agree more. With pieces like this, all you can say is that magic happens on nthe guitar where it doesn't with other instruments.

  • @thejugglenaut91 Don't forget the piano! But other than that I totally agree with you.

  • @thejugglenaut91 It's because of the intimacy required to generate the sounds. The musician TOUCHES every note w/o any mechanical interface. :D imho of course...

  • @ShipperS7 that says a lot and I happen to agree

  • @ShipperS7 no he didn't

  • tht's perfect

there's no other word for tht

  • i really love every single moment of this piece and i think that bream is the more suitable guitarist to play this piece...amazing!!!!!

  • superb in every way ..!

  • amazing... the only think I don't like is the rapid descending passages after the harmonics at the very beginning... it seems like they could be a bit lighter and more legato. Otherwise, it's perhaps the best interpretation I've ever heard

  • Perfect, coulors.

  • Julian Bream is just fantastic. I love this piece by Tarrega. I've performed it several times, but I kow I'll never be able to play it as perfect as Bream plays it.

  • Quality.....

  • definitely shows , i've also looked at other interpretations.

  • I think that this is the best version of capriccio ever, i'v heard it from many guitarist but...

  • i heard a lot of versions of this song but segovia does not express the temperament of this song

  • actually i disagree with you the tone of bream for this song is uncomparable

  • i agree with you... just piece after piece, bream just wins me over. That's all there is to it.

  • @JogurtBelinea

    I absolutely agree, astonishingly expressive

  • @JogurtBelinea i totally agree

  • @JogurtBelinea Of Course it's the best. It's Bream's, c'mon =]
