a real shame Wheeljack did not come in his alternators version as an original Lancia Stratos. Boy would i have loved to see the sleek and great looking Stratos (or the new Stratos) transform.

Great review. However my fírst Alternator was a beaten up Grimlock missing head and arms. Arms i got from spare wheeljack parts, and i made a custom head for him. I actually thought the transformation was pretty simple.

If you don't like a really, REALLY complicated transformation, you'll want Smokescreen instead of Wheeljack!

The Binaltech version is diecast, but the Alternators version is made is plastic. The Binaltech version is worth £39.99 but in Argos the Alternators version is now sold for less than £15.00.

I don't know if Hasbro are re launching Alternators. It seems they've got their heads round 'Animated', 'Classics 2.0' and the movie stuff at the moment.

oh i love wheeljack, and i love the alternators car mode, BUT, i can't help not tearing my wheeljack apart when transforming it. the doors pop out, the legs fall apart, the two rotation points on the waist are so hard to turn separately!! thank god the head is not falling off too. best way to trans is dissemble it and re-assemble.
