  • Lmfao at the end. That laugh. Ughagjahahahauha, like he'd never hears a joke before.

  • great examples of physics! i can be a physician if he's my teacher!... LOL

  • great teacher!

  • i love punny proffesors, hes like my math proffesor

  • I want a science teacher like that.

  • He's good.

  • Wow he is comparable with Walter Lewin

  • LOL

If he was my teacher, then I`d totally love physics! ;D

  • The way I'm taught physics in college is the most dry and boring experience ever. everything is just read straight from a book, and if you don't have the book you can't solve the problems because all the notation that the professor uses is only relevant in the context of the book. the solutions he gives are over-simplified and the questions he gives are increadably abstract and non-intuitive. this has inspired me to use my wn notes and to respect my own understanding, no matter how silly.

  • by the time i was finished there'd be no charge! genius!! and also...true lol

  • Yeah, Prof. Goodstein's a real riot; he made me LOL more times than Sam Kinison.

  • shocking.

  • Loved The Mechnical Universe and Beyond. I have every episode on dvd. :) It's easy to lose the big picture when you're solving labyrinth-like proofs or deriving complicated expressions, so it's nice to go back and watch foudations concepts explained concisely and perfectly. Professor Goldstein is awesome.

  • He made learning interesting! I wont slp in dat class n definitely ace physics!

  • no charge ^^

  • The Mechanical Universe and Beyond, a totally awesome series!

  • Unlimited energy sources are out there! But the big oil corporations don't want that technology revealed,Get the blueprints for a free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!

  • I remember coming home and watching PBS 'The Mechanical Universe' and he would have one of his lectures to complement the episode viewed. I regret never applying myself and going to Caltech to learn Physics. I wish I could do it over again? The learning of math and physic was great when you just got it.

  • This was from a great production for Introductory Physics--created back in the 1980's--by CalTech and the Annenberg Foundation. Each of the 25 videos would begin with Professor Goodstein introducing the topic with a dry wit demonstration, then segueing into an explanation of the subject with a voice over, photos, actors and some sweet animations. Someone did upload the whole series a couple of years ago. It's a shame something of this stature is repeatedly removed for ownership violations.

  • shit where were all these funny teachers when i was a kid?

  • Every teacher should be like this fair play to him. He should wrtie books on physics I got some videos of my tutor. I think only I think hes funny though.

  • No not a duplicate-0whoops whos failing now. But i take your point. i saw these after.

  • @magiclard

    Fair enough mate.

  • hahaha physics lecturers are a rare breed, always surprising

  • I've watched all of these videos, hes awesome !

  • funny

  • entertaining!

  • are there lot of the skilled teachers like him across the nation in the united states?

  • Most university professors in the US are highly skilled, much like this but there are plenty who are even better.

  • no two teachers are a like

  • lol, electrifiying joke.

  • CALTECH ROCKS!

  • lol i remember my physics teacher in grade 12 always played these videos of his lectures in class.

  • good prof. Funny guy... spice up physix

  • tats dr. goodstein!

  • My physics professor who is at leat 75 years old strapped himself into a redwagon with two compressed air tanks, and shot himself across the room and into a wall...i wish i had the video. He wasn't hurt lol

  • electricity can be hair raising we done thta in skl n your hair really does rise and remember no charge

  • cool i love physics that was funnty with the static electricity

  • very funny...i wish our teacher taught us physics like him

  • i wish mine too! haha, caltech is nice. =)

  • you go to caltech?!?!!??!

thatsd only like thee most fameous school in the whole world or hav i just heard it a lot

  • haha no i mean caltech is a nice place but im not there. i long to go there too!

  • me too but i dont live in california or even america

  • i like this professor and his cool demonstrations

  • use of puns as well/ lol:)

  • i want to thnk you for the opportunity to experience maxwell's and another series of lectures you conducted. they have allowed me to get some understanding to my philosophy final in regards to quantum mechanics having no absolutes

  • this is Dr. Goodstein from Caltech. this is from the series The Mechanical Universe.

  • Who's this guy! He's an amazing lecturer!

  • i hate this state colleges

Would like to teach myself with youtube

  • I watched this in school. What educational video is it from? Something 80s I think.

  • the teaching company. TTC

  • @bratwurstle it is "The Mechanical Universe" and "The Mechanical Universe & Beyond" by the Anneberg/CPB Project
