  • WTF?! How come I am just now discovering this??? No, I have not been under a rock! Wow! Gonna devour as much as I can!!

  • I can see why she temporarily replaced Sandy Denny in the Strawbs earlier on - she had an equally strong voice.

  • It gives me peace.

  • I met her and shes great . Her 'other band' the acid folk one were great too. saw her many a time at glastonbury festival. she used to do a set daily at glasto and she did again in 2010 ! great stuff

  • @noddyguevara curved air played @ Croissant Neuf, Green Fields Glastonbury again this year (with Paul Sax on violin). They are still great & Sonja also plays in Mask.

  • There's always a motherfucker to give a dislike.

  • she is trippin' dog.

    talking bout crazy light ladies.

  • Lovely song but how I miss the beautiful violin piece at the end on the original version.

  • My dad named me after her. :o) My name is Sonja Kristina too!

  • OMG she was gorgeous xxx

  • The thing about Sonja is that not only is she beautiful and has a beautiful voice, but she seems to be a deep person. Intelligent, thoughtful, sensitive. What more could one ask?

  • I fancied the pants of Sonja back when I was 15. Even had a poster of her on my bedroom wall. Curved Air were great.

  • Anyone else noticed that she resembles Jennifer Astiston?

  • @Isleofskye

I was waiting for someone to say something...

  • Saw them 5 times in the 70s. Newcastle Middlesbrough Redcar. John Martyn supported them.

More recently I saw Sonja Kristina Band in the Croissant Nuef tent at Glastonbury 1995.

    Yeeah!

  • I saw Curved Air at London's Hammersmith Odeon in May of 1973.

One of the best concerts of my life, with perfect hi-fi sound.

  • Looks alot like Jennifer Aniston. Beautiful song !

  • @lakeladymel that's supposed to be a compliment is it ?

  • @lakeladymel no, you idiot.. Jennifer Aniston looks like her!

  • Smashing girl, great performer, beautiful voice for a beautiful song. The beginning of the 70's was magical much thanks to music like this.

  • Where do Curved Air originate from ?

  • They're British.

  • Have you noticed that musicians without much talent, seem to dance around a lot??

  • might as well waver the "tone deaf flag" haha!

they're only providing some visual distraction from the aural torture, so forgive them ... XD

  • great!so simple...70s rule

  • yes, 70ies role ... but was it simple? and is this song symptomatic for the music from back then?

  • Sonjo's diction is perfection.

  • Aww Sonja, i first saw you live in the South west of England, you were BRILLIANT, will never forget that night, and after you finished the main Gig you went to play in a local nightclub and we were treated again to your beautiful voice,,,,,i think you changed my life that night,,,,,,,,if you ever read this stuff i hope you are well Sonja..

  • Thank you YOUTUBE!!!!! finalement trouve la chanson qui a inspire mes parents a me trouver un prenom!!!!!!

    Merci....

  • My parents were also inspired by this song when naming me :)

  • Ah, Sonja .......

  • I loved this band back then. All there music up to the mid 70's was great. Completely underrated and not remembered now

  • temazo

  • Since the 80's I've had this tape of "Hair" the musical without realizing that it was her who sang "Frank Mills." Her voice is just beautiful. She hits those high notes and makes it seem effortless. She also looks like the ultimate 70's girl.

  • this is beautifull-but then then she goes off and does that "hard rockin gal" crap.

  • Quite - she never cut it as Janis Joplin! Still, she did some lovely vocals on the last Mask album, looking forward to seeing them in the autumn.

  • Yes, I remember being really disappointed with her hard rockin gal vocals on their live album.

The BBC sessions are amazing though.

  • Someone please post Back Street Luv dammit! It was here awhile ago!

  • It stil is search useing "back street Luv" and its corking

  • It's been re-posted. See here: you tube dot watch?v=81DTIWSEHVw

  • The singer is gorgeous... By the way, wasn't Andy Summers of the Police in this band at one time ?

  • I don't think so but Stewart Copeland was.

  • it was Stewart Copeland who also want out with Sonja, (he lived in Bledlow ridge and she in Downley near high wycombe) so saw each other often.

  • This is wonderfull...isn't she just perfect...great LP as well.

  • Pretty funny... I just realized the tags allow you to select more (expand) or less (minimize). Anyone else catch that? Man, I need to get off this weed.

  • hehe!

  • Lovely Lady indeed!

  • No more Curved Air in your videotheke?

  • Beautiful. I was looking for Back Street Luv too - thought I was cracking-up and imagined the whole thing.

  • I'll always love her -her photos are plastered all over my office and have been for over 30 years. Simply the best xxx

  • I´m in love

  • Beautiful! Used to see them regularly in the eatrly 1970's....First group I ever saw in The Royal Festival Hall...1971/2....Wonderful memories!

  • Que mujer...dios mío

  • fantastic .

  • Back Street Luv was around here somewhere a few weeks ago! Where's it gone?!

  • I've also noticed that Back Street Luv and a few other Curved Air clips have been taken down. A shame. I suspect fear of copyright infringement is behind this....

  • So nice to see them. I love their music. Would love to see a clip of Marie Antionette.

  • Is there a clip of Purple Speed Queen anywhere?

  • I saw them in Padua (Italy) in 1971, they were strong.

    Thank for the clip

  • This band including Sonja has been my favourite all over the 70s and after. I have most albums, and, since it would not come out on CD, digitized Aircut from the LP. I never had a chance to see a clip from them. Thanks.
