We are born spiritually dead. Scripture says that we have a carnal mind that is at enmity with God (Romans 8:7). Only when we are born again can we follow the promptings of the Spirit.

According to Jesus, we must be born again, and Paul states that the Holy Spirit is "given to them that obey" God (Acts 5:32), such obedience being manifested as THE RESULT of their accepting His salvation offer to them..

There is no such SDA teaching anywhere that I'm aware of, containing an exact count such as you mentioned. In fact there are MILLIONS of SDAs throughout the world at this very moment.. Revelation refers to the 144,000 last-day believers as a number which may well be figurative rather than literal anyway, since they are supposedly made up of 12,000 each of most of the lost tribes of Israel.

This history is well documented and can even be found online. As far as I know EGW never contradicted herself on the 144,000 which is surprising given she lived after membership numbers soured above 144,000. God never gave these visions in the first place. EGW contradicts herself on many teachings. For example, take the SDA teaching on the Godhead. EGW fully backed the pioneers who did not believe in the Trinity. She said that not one pin of the foundation that the pioneers built was to be removed.

Though out the centuries since the dawn of time, God has slowly revealed his plan to man kind over the years, with the final revelation being through his son Jesus Christ. That is not the same though as claiming that your message is from God, that you know the message, and then it turning out to be wrong.

There are 3 types of days in scripture, not just 2. New moon days, work days, and sabbath days. Ezekiel 46:1 Gates to the inner court were commanded to be kept open on sabbaths and new moons, but closed on work days. Question: What would you do if the new moon happened to fall on a work day, as it does on the gregorian calendar? Keep it open, or keep it shut? Open it half way? Yhwh's word is not confusion. The 3 days will never occur on same day, because our calendar is not a biblical one.

You've overlooked a few items.

One, the moon came about on the FOURTH day of Creation, therefore being into only its FOURTH day of existence on Day Seven. Thus, your lunar calendar idea cannot fly regarding days of a week.

Two, the Sabbaths of the Lord are weekly occurrences, NOT annual, therefore cannot be tied to astronomical events at all.

Third, Lev. 23 reveals that the weekly Sabbaths are to be exempted from the rest of the annual feasts of the Lord (v.38), but separately reserved for Him.

The Creator would not command someone to disobey His law. My point is Israel marched for 7 days without breaking the sabbath, because the sabbath doesn't occur every 7 days. The cycle of 6 work days/one sabbath is broken up every new moon. Very similar to the jubilee year breaking up the cycle of six "work" years for the land and a seventh "sabbath" rest year for the land, when no crops were to be planted.

Each and every sabbath in bible that can be pegged to a day of the month occurs on only 4 days. The 8th, 15th, 22nd, and the 29th. How could this be so withe the pagan roman gregorian calendar? Fact is, YHWH's calendar starts months with the new moon, then 4 weeks of 6 work days followed by a 7th day sabbath. First quarter sabbath is on the 8th, full moon is on the 15th, 3rd quarter moon is on the 22nd, and last light of the moon is on the 29th. Never on any other days. Need scripture?

No, I do not. Scripture is obvious that the Bible Sabbath is the seventh day; therefore it is EVERY seventh day, the sun, moon, and stars notwithstanding. The Sabbath AND a week's progression are independent of the lunar cycle; each day continuing to be followed by ANOTHER day regardless of what the heavenly bodies are doing. Simply because the original count of 360 days per year was corrected to 365 1/4 to more accurately reflect a year's passing, does NOT change the 24-hour cycle of each day.

NJ, if ANY of the Ten Commandments mean anything, they ALL must, or they're ALL worthless (James 2:10-12). Scripture commands SEVENTH day honoring, NOT first (Exo. 20:8-11; Deut. 5:12-14; etc.).

Acts 20:7 mentions ONLY ONE "first-day get-together" held for A SPECIAL PURPOSE; Paul was leaving the area. NO further first-day services are recorded ANYWHERE, beyond this ONE meeting.

Hadn't considered this aspect, but you definitely make sense; also since Malachi was informed that the righteous will be, at a yet-future point in time, walking upon the ashes of the wicked. This hardly makes any provision for them to be in a "forever fire" of unending punishment for eternity, as I see it, since they would not, as John 3:16 informs us, "perish", but they would ALSO have an eternal life granted to them to SUFFER in.
