Starting 4:06 it's Finnish national song, called Oi maamme (approximately "O' thou Land or "Our Land") which is originally written in Swedish "Vårt land" 1848 by Finnish-minded dude Johan Ludvig Runeberg (Finland was a Grand Duchy of Russia), but then translated into Finnish version- nowadays Estonian national song "Mu isamaa"(Our Fatherland)is,again, using the same theme as they used before USSR occupation. Finnish and Estonian people are like sisters and brothers ;) Hello to Eesti, Estonia!
Originally "Leningrad Cowboys"is Finnish band called"Sleepy Sleepers",they made a lot of punk/mockery songs including cold war and russian/finnish forced relationship during the cold war, starting around 1976 or so.The difference between Finland and many other countries was that we were independent but still we had to obey a lot of things that Russians told us to.It was called"Co-working and helping agreement".Many of the songs were banned from radio, but records were all free
@SuomenSuomalainen Hej, kiitos for all that info! Finland as a country certainly have been through alot. There wasn't much to do when a big country like the Soviet came knocking on the door.
Rocky cover of the song made famous (prolly) by Mary Hopkin. I like this more! :)

Can remember the original of this by Mary Hopkins on the Beatles 'Apple' label-probably at least 30 years prior to this one-great cover!

@Mrroydoncrossing the song is based on the russian song "Dorogoi dlinnoyu", by Boris Fomin-Konstantin Podrevskii.
